Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

How's everything in your part of the world?  We enjoyed a nice sunny day yesterday without winter coats on.  We did some shopping and finished it off with some ice cream.  It was a great day to get out and enjoy the great weather.  But, today it's back to winter coats once again.  I think yesterday was the best weather for the week, so I'm glad that we were able to get out and enjoy it!

I have a few cards to share with you today.  I know for the first card that the birthday card was received.  The last two cards I'm sure were received, also.  I've done Easter cards, too, but will share those later.

The flowers are from Altenew and the sentiment is from PTI.  The background panel was die cut using a die from MFT.  The flowers were colored with copics.

Next up, this card was made for a friend who recently treated me to lunch.

The stamp image is from Ink Blot Shop, which is a new place to shop for me.  The stamp set is called Little Sweeties.  And, yes, the girl images are so sweet!  The scalloped frame is from Paper Sweeties and the sentiment is from PTI.  The image was colored with copics.

I'm entering this card over at the NBUS Challenge.

I went back to water coloring for this card that was sent to a friend.  The image is from Mama Elephant and the sentiment is from SU.  Ink sprays, yellow ribbon, and gold dots to finish the card.

In light of what is happening in the world, especially for the people in Ukraine, I continue to pray for peace and strength.  I came across some kindness quotes.  I just thought I'd share them with you today.  And, I add that I so appreciate all my friends here that visit my blog and give me support for my creations.  It is truly a blessing that we have our crafting community to bring us happiness!  Thank you for your kindness!

  1. Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver.” – Barbara De Angelis
  2. What wisdom can you find that is greater than kindness?” – Jean-Jacques Rousseau
  3. You can accomplish by kindness what you cannot by force.” – Pubilius Syrus
  4. Kindness can become its own motive. We are made kind by being kind.” – Eric Hoffer
  5. Human kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people. A nation does not have to be cruel to be tough.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt
Take care and have a wonderful day, hugs!!

Dies R Us Challenge March 15, 2022!(Anything Goes)

Hi, Friends!

For the second challenge of the month, the theme continues as Anything Goes!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate at the Dies R Us Challenge!

Today I am sharing a card I made for my husband.  He had a birthday a few days ago.  We were able to get away for a couple days to our favorite area in Amish Country of Berlin, Ohio.  Lots of shopping, beautiful country, and delicious food, so fun!

For my card, I started with a navy card base and paired it with a die cut frame using IO Checkered Frames.  I used a Tim Holtz stencil(Speckles) for the background.  The balloons were made with a Newton's Nook circle stencil.  I hand drew in the rest of the balloon.  The image is from MFT.  And, the birthday sentiment die is from Lawn Fawn.

The little fella has quite the outfit, doesn't he?!  Some men do have fashion sense, but this one does not.  And, if truth be told...shhh....hubby doesn't either, lol!  But, that's ok, for he has many other talents!

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today.  Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)

#cardsforukraine

Hi, Friends!

I'm popping in quick to share with you another card I made in support for the country of Ukraine. I  continue to pray for peace.  I can only hope and pray that they stay strong and that peace comes to this country soon.  I'm entering this card over at Color Hues Challenge.

I decided to do another card with water color using my zig markers, but using another image.  The sunflower image is from Neat & Tangled.

I started with a die cut panel using a die from MFT.  The sentiments and butterflies are from Mama Elephant.  They were embossed in gold.  The background was made using ink sprays.  Gold dots, heart to center of the flower and gold thread to finish the card.

It seems winter has returned with temps in the 20's and very windy.  I'd rather stay in for the evening due to the weather, but we have plans to go to dinner for my husband's birthday.  We will return home to finish the evening with some yummy cherry cheese cake!

Hugs!

#cardsforukraine

Hi, Friends!

I popping in quick to share with you a card I made in support for the country of Ukraine.  I've seen so many beautiful cards in blue and yellow.  I continue to pray for peace.  I can only hope and pray that they stay strong and that peace comes to this country soon.  I'm entering this card over at Color Hues Challenge.

I decided to do some water coloring since I haven't done any in quite awhile.  I used my zig markers on a lovely image from Altenew.

I started with a die cut panel using a die from The Greetery.  The image was stamped in gray onto the water color paper.  As I stated above, I used zig markers to water color.  The sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy.

I had a fun day yesterday with friends making cards.  I got quite a few Easter cards made.  Great food, sharing ideas, and laughs.  A day that I needed to refresh my crafty soul, so fun!

Well, laundry is calling, so I am going to scoot for now.  Thanks so much for dropping by!  Take care and have a wonderful evening!

Hugs!

Dies R Us Challenge March 1, 2022 (Anything Goes!)

Hi, Friends!

The theme this month is Anything Goes!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate at the Dies R Us Challenge!  My hubby is Irish, so I always make him a St. Patrick's Day card.  I decided to make a fun shaker card!

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it sparkly green paper.  I used Tutti Designs Cross Stitch Nesting Rectangles and IO  Shamrock Set to die cut the shamrocks on the panel.  The sentiment is from PTI.  The shaker mix was made using Pink Fresh Green gems and Pretty Pink Posh gold gems.  Ribbon and gold twine to finish the card.
