Autumn Blessings!

Happy Fall!

Cooler temps have arrived here in NW Ohio, which is a welcomed change.  We have had a hot humid summer.  I haven't been in my craft room for about a week due to taking care of my son.  A deer ran out in front of him on 9-15.  He was on his motorcycle and wears a helmet and protective gear.  He is very lucky that he didn't have any serious injuries.  The X-rays for his hip, knee, and elbow showed no fractures.  I took him to two doctor appointments and the ortho doctor felt he had internal bruising on his hip and upper thigh area.  He's hobbling around on crutches and is improving.  Ok, onto a lighter note...

It was good to get back to some creating.  It certainly helps me relax and get my mind off of things.  I already had these PTI images inked up.  I used an MFT stencil for the background and added sparkly dots for my fall card.  I'm entering this card over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.  And, here is my card...

Autumn Blessings to you all!  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a wonderful week!

Maria

Paper Sweeties September 2018-Release Rewind!

Hi, Friends!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Rewind!

The *new* stamp/die this set month is I'm so Proud of you!  And, it's available for purchase!

The new set has many wonderful sentiments to help make a card or project for students and/or teachers.  The sentiment from the set that I used for my card was stamped on the big sign that the students are holding as seen below...

For my card, I started with  a red card base and paired it with yellow.  The alphabet banner above the students is from Doodlebug.  AbigailEmma, and Jake are welcoming back their fellow students for a new school year!

And, here is the inside of the card...

Also, I made a fun tag that can be placed on a gift for the teacher...

The ruler, apple, and pencils were colored with copics.  The ribbon Licorice along with twine to finish the tag.

Hi, friends!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties September Release Sneak Peeks!

Debbie is releasing a *new* stamp set called I'm so Proud of you.  It will be available to purchase tomorrow!  So many sentiments are included in this awesome set along with an outfit for the female Sweetie dolls.  I decided to use Emma to dress her in the outfit for school.  Books, pencil, apple, and ruler are included in the set, also.  I'm entering this card over at Double Trouble, which has a school theme for their challenge.

And, here is my card...

I started with a white card base and paired it with Doodlebug paper.  I colored Emma with copics and gave her a set of books and apple for her first day back to school.  Rulers and pencils were colored with copics and tied with a ribbon Licorice.  The A+ was stamped and embossed on the chalkboard for Emma plans to work hard with her studies.  Sweet Cuts-Rectangle Scallop Frames was used to make the sign at the top of the card.

And, here is view of the inside of the card...

Thinking of You...

Hi, Friends!

Today is a somber day in remembrance of 9-11.  It also happens to be my niece, Chelsea's birthday.   My thoughts and prayers go out to those who were affected by this terrible tragedy that rocked our country and made changes forever.

And, now onto a lighter note of a few very simple cards.  I don't usually make CAS cards, but there were many birthdays, anniversaries, etc. this month.  I was lucky to have had a few in my stash already.  But, it's good to stretch and make CAS cards at times, too, especially when I'm inspired by those who make them so well.  You know who you are, my friends!:-)  So, I made a couple anniversary cards to go out to family members.  Also, I needed a get well card to go out to a friend from our church.

Here are my cards...

For my card, I started with a coral base and added a white die cut panel.  The die for the panel is from Mama Elephant.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle, which was added to a panel from a paper pack from DCWV.  A bow for the finishing touch.

Next up, is my second anniversary card made in the same way except for pearls and two small hearts.  And, here is my card...

My last card is a masculine get well card.  But, it could be used for either gender.  And, here is my card...

The leaves were stamped onto white card stock using a PTI set from Kay Miller(Stylized Autumn).  The sentiment is from SU.

Well, that's all for now until the weekend when my DT assignments for Paper Sweeties will be due.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today! Take care and have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-September 2018!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-September!

Hi, Friends!

Happy September 1st!  It's time to welcome all the kids back to school.  School started here last month on August 23rd.  The school bus stops for the neighbor kids at 6:30 in the morning.  My dog, Shadow, barks at every school bus that goes by. So, if I'm not up by then, I certainly wake up with his barking...lol!  I'm praying for all children everywhere to have a safe wonderful school year!

As you can see above, Jake and Emma are ready for the school day!  I remember when my son, Jeremy, was in grade school he earned pizza coupons by reading books.  It was fun reading to him when he was young.  It didn't take long for him to figure out when we missed or skipped over the words while reading.  Those were the good ole days...so fun!

I have two posts today, so please scroll down to see my DRU card, too!

And, now a closer peek at my planner pages...

I'm highlighting two new stamp sets today.  The outfits that Emma  and Jake are wearing are from the *new set* I'm so proud of you.  The books, apples, pencils, rulers, welcome students sentiment, and A+ are from the set, also.  The sentiments on the desk and sentiments above them are from the *new planner set* Planner Series: Business Basics.  The new sets will be available for purchase on 9-15-18.  The die cuts stars at the top of the pages are from the set Sweet Cuts-Be Happy.

I had lots of fun decorating my planner for September!
I hope you
check out our planner stamps and have fun decorating your
planner, too!
