Thinking of you!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday afternoon!  I just came in from walking the dog on this lovely day!  It's a bit windy, but the sun is shining and the temp is in the 70's.  Hubby is repairing my bike tire that went flat so that we will have a bike ride later this afternoon.  This weather is certainly welcomed compared to the couple inches of snow that we had last Tuesday!

Anyways, I'd like to share with you a couple of cards that I made recently.  Thinking of you cards are always great to have on hand.

First up, is my card using a small tulip stamp from Pretty Pink Posh.  The sentiment is from Sunny studio.

I'm entering this card over at Simon Says.

Next up, is a card using the same stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh, but using the vase image.  The rose die is from Sizzix.  I used the same sentiment as the above card.  Yellow dots to finish the card.  All images were colored with copics.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Take care, hugs!!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

We are bracing ourselves here for I am hoping the last winter storm of the season.  I didn't think we'd have one this late, but we are due for about 3-4 inches of snow starting tonight.  Maybe the weatherman is wrong...ha...I can only hope so!  My head is saying otherwise with this headache.  I checked my blood pressure, so I know it's not that.  But, oh well, I'm happy finishing up some design team assignments today and there is no need to venture out today or even tomorrow.

My poor hubby had some bad luck going out trying to buy a new truck.  His 2004 truck has served him well, but it's time for a new one.  He wanted to buy a 2021 truck, but a few months ago they stopped making them due to something about shortage of microchips?  Ha...just another glitch for us with the crazy pandemic.  The salesman told him to check back in a couple of months.  A man and his truck is important as a man and his dog...lol!  Anyways, I'm off my soapbox now.  I hope things are well in your world!

Now for my card, I'd like to share with you the above shaker birthday card I made for my great nephew!  I used alcohol inks for the background.  I gold embossed the images using the stamp sets Wishing You and Eat Cake from Paper Sweeties.  The sentiment is from the set Basket Add-on: Thinking of you/, which is from Paper Sweeties, also. The frame is from MFT.  Gold thread and gold spray to finish the card.

Edit:  After seeing the evening news and about the approaching winter weather, I decided to cut the remaining tulips that were in bloom and covered my rose bushes.  The tulips really opened up after I put them in a vase filled with water, so pretty!

Dies R Us Challenge-April 15, 2021-Anything Goes!

It's the 15th and time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is Anything Goes!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win!

Tomorrow is my sister's birthday.  Donna loves flowers and butterflies, so I made this card for her...

I started with a white card base and paired it with a yellow panel.  The scalloped lattice frame is from Sue Wilson.  The tulip window frame is from Tutti Designs.  I have used this tulip Window several times recently.  It is so easy to water color or color with copics.  I think it's perfect for spring!  Zig markers were used to water color the flowers and butterfly.  Dots and pearl cotton string to finish the birthday card for my sis.

The links for the dies are listed below...

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today.  Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)

Just a note to say...

Hi, there!

Just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for a friend of mine.  I was going to make a simple card, but the creativity in my mind just kept wanting to play.  I'm happy with the results.  Anything with pink and gold makes me happy!  I hope my friend will like this card.  I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday.

And, I hope you all had a Happy Easter!  We had lovely weather with the sun shining.  A wonderful dinner at our favorite restaurant and then a relaxing afternoon.  My son and husband finished the Monopoly game that was started the day before.  Lots of haggling back and forth until our son finally gave up to my husband as the winner.

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with a gold panel.  The next panel of pretty paper is from BoBunny.  The typewriter image is from Sugar Pea.  The scalloped circle is from Paper Sweeties.  The butterfly was made using a punch.  The hello sentiment are stickers.  Gold shine spray added for interest.  Gold dots and pearl cotton string to finish the card.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  I hope you all have a wonderful week!  Take care!

Hugs,

For my card, I started with a white card base.  The embossed tulip panel was made using an embossing folder from SU.  The window frame raccoon, tulips, and eggs are from Lawn Fawn.  Is the cute raccoon helping or stealing the Easter eggs, lol!  The sentiment is from PTI.  The sweet little bunny is from Memory Box.  The girl peeking out from the window is Madison from Paper Sweeties.  All images were colored with copics.

The sentiment and flowers for the inside of the card are from Simon Says.
