Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you had a great weekend!  We got a lot of yard work done. My roses are blooming as are my yellow irises.  I planted red geraniums, hostas, and a few zinnias.  We also enjoyed some time out with shopping and a movie.

Anyways, I'm here today to share with you a card I made for my sister.  We usually go to her cottage on the lake to celebrate her birthday.  Her birthday isn't until July, but I thought I'd work ahead on a few bday cards.  I hope she'll like this card since it's a beach themed card.  I saw the challenge over at MFT and decided to enter. I did case Anna's card as seen below.  I was so inspired by her card...love it!

Here is a view of the inside of my card...

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have a great week!

Hugs,
Maria

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

Hope all is going well with you today!  I'm just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for my brother-in law, Ron, for his  birthday.  I'm entering this card over at Happy Little Stampers.

He loves to fish, so I created a fishing scene for him.  The fish, sign, and sentiments are from Your Next Stamp.  The sun and clouds are from Paper Sweeties, the truck is from SU, and the grass  and fence dies are from MFT.  The sky was made using distress oxide ink-Broken China.  The images were colored with copics.  And, dots from Doodlebug to finish the card.

Ok, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for viewing my card today!  Take care and have a great day!

Hugs,
Maria

Happy Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

I'm just popping in quick to share with you several cards that I made from two stamp sets with dies that I won from a challenge over at City Crafter Challenge.  I'm entering these cards over at Word Art Wednesday.  Ros was hosting the challenge at CCCB and I was to case her card as seen below...

And, here is my card...

Anyways, I thank you so much, Ros, for your generous gift of these lovely stamps/dies!  They are very delicate and so pretty...love them!!  The stamp set is from Make & Create(The Works Stores) and the sentiment is from PTI.

I made a couple more with the same design, but in different colors...

Here is a card highlighting the second stamp set from the same company and the sentiments are from Paper Sweeties...

I made a few more of the same...

It feels very good to have my stash stocked up again!  Any plans for the weekend?  I hope the weather cooperates tomorrow for I would like to finally get some planting done.  Whatever you have planned for this weekend, I hope you have a great one!  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties-May 2017 Release Rewind!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Rewind!  Today we share with you a project with new stamps/dies combined with previous released stamps/dies.  And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with Lawn Fawn paper.  I embossed the sentiment and flower.  I water colored the background using broken china, worn lipstick, and fossilized amber distress oxide inks. The flower is from a previously released set  Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes.  Sequin (Cookie Dough) for the center of the flower and twine for interest.

The sentiments for the background are from the new set Handmade For You.  So many sentiments in this set, which can be used for your card inside and out!  Even a stamp for the holidays, which is homemade for the holidays!  I love this set and I will be using it for many of my projects!

Abigail's outfit, ball, and sentiment is from the new set Score.  I added sequins(Cupcake Sprinkles) for the shaker. Sweet Cuts-Circle Scallop Frames was die cut to frame the shaker.  I must admit that I do love the new scalloped frames that Debbie designed!  I will be using them for many projects!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-May 2017!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-May!

Hi, Friends!

Today I'm revealing my planner pages for the month of May! We don't have new planner stamps released this month, but I have used several previously released sets.  I have a spring flower theme for I am very anxious to plant flowers soon.  We have chance of frost early in May, so planting season for this area is usually mid May. But, soon I'll be buying some pretty flowers to brighten up my home!

A closer peek of the planner pages...

Emma is in her cute outfit holding a flower sending your springtime wishes!  Her outfit is from the set Life is a Picnic.  The small flower on her shirt is from the set Basket Add-on: Hoppy Easter.  The grass was made using Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders.  The wagon, sentiment, and flowers are from the set Sweeties Wagon.  The bird is from the set Tree of Life Add-on:Spring.    I used Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders for the grass and colored blades of grass with a copic maker for interest.  The planner sets that were used are Planner Series: Get Your Craft OnPlanner Series: Happy IconsPlanner Series: VacationPlanner Series: CelebratePlanner Series: Winter Sentiments .
