Welcome Little One!

Hi, Friends!

Just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for my great nephew, Brooks Allen.  The little sweetie arrived on 7-12-24!  He has two older sisters, Ryleigh and Regan.

For my card, I started with a blue card base and paired it with a scalloped white panel.  The design paper, oh boy, I had in my stash.  The dies and sentiment are from Pretty Pink Posh.  A sheer bow tied for the final touch.

Don't you just want to kiss those darling cheeks?!  I sure do!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Have a great rest of the week, take care!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

Happy Friday to you!  I hope all is well your way.  I'm popping in quick to share with you a masculine card that I made.  The dies and sentiment is from MFT.  I kept it simple with design and color.  I reached for the plaid paper and opted for a red, white, and blue card.  I already had some silver glitter candles cut and finished the card with twine.

You may remember my card for the Lawn Fawn Challenge on my previous post.  I was quite surprised and honored to see that I was chosen as one of the Featured Fawnatics for Challenge 176!

My card is the second one on the first row.  So many beautiful cute cards!  Congratulations to all!

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Have a wonderful weekend, hugs!!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

I'm back again to share with you a card I made for the Lawn Fawn Challenge.  I'm getting it in just under the wire.  I wanted to redeem myself for my last card entered.  I didn't use most of the dies from Lawn Fawn.

For my card above,  I already had the bird colored and it matched the Lawn Fawn paper, so I wanted to incorporate it.  The ice cream cone, lemons, and dies are from Lawn Fawn, also.  I'll list all the items at the end of my post.  I'm not sure why the cherry photographed so dark.  It could be that I have a lot of glitter on it.

I'm entering this card over at the Lawn Fawn Challenge.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!

Hello Summer!

Hi, Friends!

Popping in quick to share with you this summer card.  It certainly is summer around here and most of the country with the hot weather!  The humidity is back once again today and my joints can feel it, lol!  Hubby got the lawn mowed and I made some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies along with working on some laundry today.  He had to beat the heat, but I stayed in the cool house!

I recently purchased the Trendy Tumbler set from The Greetery!  I used a copic marker for the pink lemonade and also sponged on worn lipstick distress ink.  The sweet lemon dies are from Lawn Fawn.  The fruit paper is from Park Lane.  Gems to finish my summer card.

I hope you are staying cool and having a great weekend!  Thanks so much for stopping by today, take care!

Happy Anniversary!

Hi, Friends!

It's a beautiful Sunday here in NW Ohio.  The temp is in the low 80's with low humidity, just right!  I've been out a couple times with the dog to enjoy the weather.  But, it would make for a perfect picnic day!  Not much going on here today.  Hubby decided to clean up some things in the garage, so I thought it would be a perfect time to be in the craft room.

I'd like to share with you an anniversary card I made for a friend.  I recently purchased the Sweet Songs stamp and die set from Honey Bee.  It was so fun coloring the sweet birds and pretty flowers.  It was very easy to put together.  Gems added to finish the card.

I'm entering this card over at NBUS Challenge.

Ok, that's all for now.  I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!  Take care and thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!

Hugs!

Happy 4th!

Hi, Friends!

Happy July 4th in a few days to all my USA friends!  Any festive fun plans for the occasion?  We plan to see the fireworks on July 3rd here in town.  We also plan to take a picnic lunch near the lake and ride our bikes.  Whatever you do have fun and stay safe!

I made the above card for my friend's husband.  His birthday is on the 4th.  All stamps and dies are from Pretty Pink Posh except for the background postage die, which is from Reverse Confetti.

We celebrated our 45 wedding anniversary on June 22nd.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner together.

Last Friday, we celebrated two of my sister's birthdays.
My sister on the left made a chocolate strawberry cake.  The
theme of the party was hummingbirds since my sis on the
right loves hummingbirds.  The cake was delicious and
we had tons of fun!

Ok, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Have a wonderful week and take care, hugs!

Happy Birthday, Vacation...

Hi, Friends!

It's been awhile since posting on my blog.  We returned from vacation on the 18th.  We checked off five more states and only four more to go.  Our goal is to visit all fifty states.  We may plan a fall trip to reach that goal.  The four states that we need to visit are Delaware, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Well, before we went on vacation, I tried the black out technique for the above card.  I used an embossing folder from Simon Says and used several distress inks.  I sprayed a shimmer mist for more interest.  Gems and satin ribbon to finish the card.  This technique was quite fun!  I plan to try it again some time.

I have some vacation photos to share...

Here we are in St. Louis, MO to see the
Gateway Arch.

We went all the way to the top!  What a
gorgeous view!

Here we are at the spot where three states meet,
Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

We went to the Ozark area after visiting
Branson, MO.  We visited a winery and
enjoyed watching a man play a saxophone.

I won't bore you with anymore photos of our vacation.  We went south and stayed overnight in Mississippi. We planned to stop in Memphis, TN to eat some BBQ and go to Beale St., but we decided not to go out into the thunderstorm.  We did visit Memphis in 2008, so we weren't too disappointed.  We did manage to find some delicious BBQ in Bowling Green, KY at Smokey Pig Bar-B-Q, so delicious!  It was great to get away even though the weather was hot.  We were hoping that for early June we would be ok from the heat, but I guess not!  It's hot everywhere right now.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and stay cool, hugs!

Butterfly/Flower Card!

Hi, Friends!

I'm just popping in quick to share with you a card I made while we were away camping.  I wanted to make some easy cards and use up some design paper.  The paper is from Carta Bella.  The die cut images are from Tim Holtz.  Just paper, die cut pieces and some pearl cotton thread to make this simple card.

We had a great time camping with my sis and her husband near Lake Erie.  We took our dog, Sheila and she did well.  We think she sleeps better in the camper than at home!  We rode bikes, made camper pies, walked along the beach, and had a picnic lunch viewing the beautiful Lake Erie.  I thought I had pics on my phone, but hubby must have them all.  He has a better phone than me for taking pics and he is out helping with the Lion's Club right now.  I'm having some computer issues, too.  I wanted to share two more cards that I made, but I was unable to go to my edit program.  Oh, well, I guess I'll have to ask my son again for tech support.

Ok, that's all for now.  I hope you all are doing well and having a great weekend.  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care!

Hugs!

Summer...

Hi, friends!

Just popping in quick to share with you a card that I made for my sister's birthday.  She loves anything with the beach theme, especially flamingos.  All stamps and dies are from Sunny Studio.  She has three dogs, Ginger, Morgan, and Cami.  So, I thought it would be fun to incorporate them on the card.  They are riding in the VW bus to head to the beach!  My brother actually had a VW bus when he went to college.  Not one that was this colorful, but just the same it brought some good times.  I had lots of fun making this card for my sister!

Not much is happening around here for now.  It's a quiet week, which is great for we will be camping a few days next week and then shortly after that head out for vacation.

I'm still getting used to my new craft room.  It's great to have a place for everything, but I have forgotten where I have stored things, lol!  I still can't find a stamp set that I just used last month.  Oh well, I'm sure it'll turn up some time.  Yesterday, I forgot where I put my embossing powders and I was talking out loud and my hubby said..."Do you need something?"  I told him that I'm just voicing my frustration and hopefully it'll help.  I found the powders shortly after that, lol!

Well, that's all for now my friends!  I hope all is well in your crafty world!  Take care and have a great rest of the week!

Hugs!

Baby!

Hi, there!

How are you on this wonderful Tuesday?  I hope all is well in your world!  I thought I'd pop in quick and share a baby card that I made for a friend's daughter.  I used some old with some new.  The images are new from Pretty Pink Posh and the scallop dies are from Paper Sweeties.  I just love these cute baby dies!  I can see myself using them quite often!

The card is self-explanatory.  It was very easy to make and came together quickly, which doesn't always happen, right?!  The plaid design paper is from Lawn Lawn.  To balance the card, I have two little ducks.  Now I'm thinking, oh my, does it look like mama duck at twins, lol!  Always something, right?!  I tend to overthink things at times.  Inside the card, I have one little duck with a heart. And the sentiment, bundle of joy.

Ok, enough overthinking for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care, hugs!

Take Care!

Hi, Friends!

I hope all is well for you on this beautiful Thursday!  My hubby is out mowing the lawn and I'm enjoying some time in my craft room.  I made this card a little while ago and have finally posted it.  This card will go to my niece who needs to be cheered up for she had foot surgery yesterday.  Her fiance bought a kayak recently and when she went to step out of it her foot got twisted.  But, she is on the mend now and he is taking good care of her.

For the card, I started with a green base and paired it with the postage die from Waffle Flower.  The stencil flowers and word sentiments are from Waffle Flower, also.  I just love all the products they have come out with to go along with the postage die.  I'm trying to hold myself back to purchase the recently released summer one!

I'm entering this card over at the The Flower Challenge.

Ok, that's all for now.  I hope you have a great rest of the week!  Take care, hugs!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I'd like to share with you two cards I made using Karin Brushmarkers!  I've had these new markers, which seems forever and I finally used them.  I watched a tutorial from Mindy Eggen before water coloring the lovely flowers from Simon Says.  The embossed background and flower dies are from the same set, Bountiful Blooms.  It makes it so convenient to have the embossing folder and cutting die in the same set!  I used a punch for the leaves under the sentiment and added dots to finish the card.

Next up, is the same type of card using the same set, but I water colored the background and sprayed white and perfect pearls ink sprays to the flowers and background.  Vellum leaves and yellow gems to finish the card.

I'm entering this card over at the Flower Challenge.

That's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Wishing you all a Happy Mother's Day!  Take care!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!  I finished a birthday card for my niece with some new goodies from Pretty Pink Posh.  I just love the stitched butterflies!  I got out my neglected ink sprays for the background.  I added a foil panel, also.  Distress inks were used for the butterflies.  For the stems and wings behind the inked butterfly, I used sparkly aqua paper.  Sequins and sentiment to finish the birthday card.

I'm entering this card over at NBUS.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  I'm heading over to your blogs to see your lovely creations, take care!

Hugs!

Thanks a million!

Hi, Friends!

I am one happy crafter!  I am in my new craft room!  I made the above card for my son who helped me design the room.  My hubby, son, and son's friend, Ryan, assembled the Ikea furniture that we recently purchased.

For the card, I started with a white card base and paired it with a frame made using a die cut from Impression Obsession.  The design paper is from MFT.  The sentiment is from Simon Says.  I used a mix of sequins for the fun shaker card and twine to finish the card.  Please forgive the photo quality for I don't have the lights set up yet for the photo box.

Here are a couple photos of my new craft room...

The plan is to buy blinds.  I will miss the pretty valances, but it won't fit on the one window.

The plan is to put up a couple shelves above the computer.  We'll see how that looks.  But, I have a lot done and I'm so happy to create in my new happy place!

I hope you all are doing well and are enjoying the warmer weather.  It was one gorgeous day here and the temp got up to 80.  It looks like warmer weather will be here for awhile!

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a great week!

Hugs!

Hummingbirds and flowers...

Hi, Friends!

It's been awhile since I've been here.  We are still busy with home remodeling.  I did get away and went to a craft retreat last weekend with some friends.  It's always a great time to create and enjoy!  I have a few of my favorite cards to share today.  I got a lot done and made several simple ones with no sentiments.  I'm trying to get smarter that way to have some on hand for any occasion.  I mostly made birthday and thinking of you cards.

As you can see above,  I made a hummingbird card for my sis.  Her birthday isn't until July, but I recently received the new set from Spellbinder's and wanted to color the pretty hummingbirds and flowers.  Inside is a sentiment that says...Happy Birthday to beautiful you.

Next up...

I made my second card using Sweet 'n Sassy stamps and arch die.  A very simple card, but I wanted to use up the background paper that I had.  I thought it would go well with the vase.

And, for my last card...

At the craft retreat, they have a craft store.  How convenient, right?!  So, I saw the lovely hummingbird paper and the Spellbinder stamp/die set went perfectly with it.  The paper is from Mintay(Joy of Life).  I fell in love with their papers!

Well, I'm not sure when I'll be back again for it may be awhile, but I'll continue to view and comment on your blogs.  We have two more rooms to have carpeting done this week.  On Friday, my craft room will get new carpet.  It's going to be a big job to clear out all my craft items.  I'm hoping for a better organized craft room with some new Ikea furniture.  I'm looking forward to when it's all done!

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a great week!

Hugs!
