Scrap Day!

Hi Again!

This is my second post for today.  I just thought I'd share with you my scrapbooking that I did on Saturday when I got together with friends.  I finally used my case on wheels that my husband bought me for Christmas a few years ago.  And, I jammed packed that baby with lots of goodies for the day!  I wanted to get more done, but we all had a great time!  It was my first time for a Scrap Day get-together with so many.  I thought it would be too long from 10am -10pm, but the time just flew by!  We had about sixteen gals with all their equipment.  One husband wanted to rent a U-haul...hehehe!  I forgot my camera to get a pic of all the fun...sigh.  But, Malori plans on having another scrap event some time this year...yeah!  Ok, I rambled on enough here.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Take care, hugs!!:-))

All Natural~

The theme is "All Natural" over at City Crafter Challenge!

Hi Friends!

I haven't made a card in quite awhile for City Crafter's, so I thought I'd play along this week.  I find myself choosing cream very often for my cards, so I thought I'd enter the challenge.  I chose several design papers.  And, the focal point is from Graphic 45.  I distressed the edges with vintage photo ink.  I used a doily die and applied liquid pearls with a Q-tip.  Lace, ribbon, buttons, and pearls were added for the final accents.

It's a sunny day here and a little warmer at 48 degrees...yeah!  After I get some things done around here, I will get out and take a walk.  I'll have to enjoy this spring weather tease while I can!:-)  Thanks so much for visiting here today!  Take care, hugs!!:-))

Egg-Stra Special!

Hi there, friends!

How ya doin'?  I'm doing well here!  It's great to have a day off from work and do a little card making.  So, I made this card today.  I just love this little chick stamp and colored him with copics.  I paper pieced the egg shell.  Ribbon, sewing, and pearl cotton tied in bows for my little Easter card.

A scrap day event with friends on Saturday for me.  I plan to scrapbook some concert photos.  We saw Keith Urban last July and Blake Shelton last month.  Here are photos of them....mmmm...(wink)*

My husband says it's his turn now to drool, so we will be seeing Miranda Lambert next month....hehehe!  Ok, that's all for now.  Thanks for stopping by today!  Take care, hugs!!:-))

Wishing You...

I couldn't resist the challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches!
What a fun sketch for a birthday card or any card!

Hi Again!

This is my second post today.  I told my son that I wouldn't mind being locked up here in my craft room and keeping an eye on the dog while he helps guide Time Warner put in faster internet service.  Make a card and faster internet service...yeah!  So, I had fun making this card, which was fairly easy to put together.  It's pretty self-explanatory.  The glittery brad was a great clearance find while I was shopping at TJ Max!  Well, I need to start some dinner for my guys.  Thanks for stopping by, hugs!!:-))

Sweet On You!

Another sweet challenge over at the The Shabby Tea Room!
The theme this week is "Candy Hearts"!
We were to use food and hearts on our project.

Hi There!

Another Valentine card was made today for my sweet husband!  It's sort of girly and frilly, but I'm sure he won't mind.  He'll go straight for the candy in the middle!:-)  I cut out the center for a Dove chocolate heart.  Little punched hearts were added with pearls and a doily to surround the candy.  I twisted white large seam binding and added pins, yellow seam binding, and pearl cotton.  I sewed around the edges to finish off the card.  Thanks for taking a peek here today!  Take care and enjoy your weekend, hugs!!:-))

Amour!

A sweet fun challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room!
Hello Friends!

Are you nearly ready for Valentine's Day?  I had fun making this card last night for my husband!  I love anything with the Parisian theme!  We took a cruise for our second honeymoon to the British Isles and one day in Paris in 2004.   We saw the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum.  We hope to get back there one day to see more of the city.  The city is so gorgeous and romantic!

Ok, now about my card.  I did lots of layering and used a library card, which was covered with dp and sewed.  I even tucked in a little love note for my husband.  I distressed the focal point and library card with tea dye ink.  I didn't want to make it too frilly for husband, but I couldn't resist adding the button and ribbon.  Twine, doily, and heart die to finish off the card.  Thanks for stopping by today!  Take care and have a great weekend, hugs!!:-))
