Winter...

Brrr...winter!  I was dreaming of a white Christmas and I do believe we will be getting one!  Although it may come with blizzard conditions.  I don't think we are due for a lot of snow in our area, but with the drifting of snow, things can get dangerous.  We are expecting my son's friend, Ethan, to come here for Christmas since he can't get the time off of work to visit his family in New Jersey.  I can only pray that he makes it here before it gets too bad on the roads.

Anyways, I have a couple cards to share with you.  The above card was made with a die that was gifting to me by my friend, Nancy.  We had a wonderful lunch yesterday and exchanged Christmas gifts.

Next up, a Christmas card made for the kennel staff that takes care of our dog and cat when we are away.  It's hard to believe that they stayed still for a good photo!

Nicky and Sheila are laying together in the new bed that we got for Sheila.  Nicky has a perfect bed that he can use, but maybe he likes Sheila's better, lol!

Ok, well, I'm not sure what the weather is your way, but it appears that a lot of the country is snowy and cold...brrr!  Be careful out there and take care!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hugs!

Merry Christmas!

Hi, there!

Only nine more days until Christmas?  Oh, say it ain't so, lol!  Well, I think I have most things ready for the big day.  I have some more baking to do and a few more gifts to buy.  I've already had two major Christmas celebrations that I've had to prepare for.  So, I can breathe a sigh of relief.  Also, my back had been giving me problems.  I had an MRI on Tuesday.  I saw the doctor on Thursday and he gave me good news of not needing surgery.  He thought it was a possible herniated disc.  But, it's just the usual old age problems of arthritis and stenosis.  Isn't it something getting old?!  Oh, well, what can ya do, but just keep on keeping on.

Ok, anyways on a happier note, I recently purchased a lovely bell and bow die from The Greetery.  I'm entering this card over at NBUS.

Next up...

Just a simple card with lovely paper from Echo Park.  A twine bow adhered to finish the card.

And, for my last card I used Pretty Pink Posh angels.  Aren't they cute?!

Just one more photo I'd like to share...

From left to right...Christina, Lucretia, Donna, Cecilia, and me.

We had lots of fun celebrating Lucretia's birthday!  And, we played Christmas bingo!

Ok, that's all for now.  I'm not sure if I'll post again before Christmas.  If not, I want to wish you all a wonderful blessed Christmas!  Take care!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I'm back again as promised with a few Christmas cards.  How's it going with all your Christmas preparations this year?  I think I'm getting things under control here.  I'm not sure if it will be so in a couple days.  Our son was asked to play at church for the Christmas concert this weekend, so he wants to come up on Friday with his German Shepherd, Maverick.  It's not a problem usually, but I do have my sisters over on Friday and my husband and son are leaving to go to Cleveland area for a funeral visitation.  It means that I'm left here to try to control all the animals, lol!  I might have mentioned before that my dog, Sheila, and Maverick do not get along.  Oh, well, Maverick might have to go to his crate if things get out of hand.  Please pray for me, lol!

So, I'm here to show you my Christmas cards.  I've already sent out quite a few, but I do have a few favorites to show you today.  The above card was made using MFT dove and peace sentiment dies.  The trees and bird are from Lawn Fawn.  I also made this card using the color purple.

Next up...

I made a simple card using lovely Craft Consortium background paper and flower.  A gold gem to finish the card.

And, I saved the best for last with some stitching on this card...

I made several of these a couple months ago.  It was so fun and relaxing to watch TV in the evening and stitch on this lovely joy die from Spellbinder's.  I also made this card using a red background.

Ok, these next two days I need to clean house and prep for Friday's party.  So, I'll scoot for now.  I hope you all are doing well.  Take care and have a wonderful blessed Christmas season!

Hugs!

 Hi, Friends!

Sorry it's been quite awhile posting anything on my blog.  Time has flown by and I've been busy with different things.  I have seen  a lot of handmade purses on IG and thought I'd give it a try.  It was quite a project.  I ordered yarn from Amazon, but didn't get all of it and had to start over.  I used a macrame cord as seen above on the gray purse.  Needless to say, my poor hand and arm had to take a rest at times, but I continued on and finished it.

I've been busy with other projects, too, and yesterday evening made four wall hangings for my sisters.  I will host a birthday/Christmas lunch next Friday.  I hope they like my projects.  They were super easy to make.

First up...

There is a rope cord behind for hanging.  I got it from the Dollar Tree.  The letters came with it.  The dies are from Concord&9.  I used glitter paper and fine glitter.  A seam binding bow was made to finish the project.  I have in mind which sister to give each one to.  I asked my husband if he could guess which one I had in mind for each sis and he guessed right, lol!

Next up...

Another easy make.  I painted the snowflakes white and added glitter.  The images are stickers from Echo Park.  Fine glitter added to the background.  Dots added to the snowflakes and a seam binding bow to finish.

Another one using stickers, snowflakes, fine glitter, and a bow.  This one is for my sis, Cecilia who loves snow.  Well, she just might get her wish this year, lol!

And, for the final wall hanging...

I think I got glitter happy on this one.  It really doesn't look as bad in real life.  I think it's the way the light is catching it.  Anyways, my sis, Christina, loves red and gray.  She has a Ohio State family room with scarlet and gray colors.

Also, for my sisters, I found cute little bell ornaments and they light up.

As I was checking out, the lady asked if I had four sisters and I said..."Yes!"  She then replied and said that she has five!  And, when growing up they all lived on a dairy farm.  They worked hard and she is still working at keeping busy.

Believe it or not, I have made Christmas cards, but I'll post them another time.  I hope you all are doing well and may you have a wonderful blessed holiday season!  Take care!

Hugs!

Happy Fall!

Hi, Friends!

It's been awhile since I've been here on my blog.  It's been busy with appointments and my birthday.  Thank you to my crafty friends and family who have sent me beautiful cards!

I had fun getting away for a craft weekend and made lots of cards recently.  I've already put some in the mail, but remembered that the above card was one of my favorites.  The sentiment die is from PTI and the images are from Paper Sweeties.  All images were colored with copics.  It's difficult to see, but there is a leaf embossed background.

Well, it's nearly lunch time, so I'll end here.  But, before I do, I got a cute pic of our cat, Nicky...

Nicky was sitting on my lap this morning thinking what trouble can I get into, lol!  He says, "Where is your yarn that I can get into"?  "Or, can I knock over your coffee up?"

Ok, thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have a great week!

Hugs!

Happy Fall!

Hi, there!

How's things with you all?  Doing well here.  I've been busy doing some fall cleaning.  A few things that I've been wanting to get to for quite awhile.  I find that it is taking me longer to do things with cleaning.  Extra breaks in between for these tired old bones.  But, I'm happy that it's done and that I have things that are more organized.

I have a card to share with you today as seen above.  I couldn't resist purchasing the Gnome Add-on:Fall  and coordinating dies from Paper Sweeties!  My friend, Nancy, and I have have been passing back and forth gnome items as gifts.  I just love all the gnome things out there now days, so fun!  So, for my card, all the images are from Paper Sweeties. The paper is from Doodlebug and twine to finish the card.

I hope all the little trick-or-treaters had a good time yesterday.  We don't get any little ones out here in the country.  We used to, but I think they all go in town for the festivities.  I'd like to share with you two cuties(my great nieces) in my family who dressed up for the occasion.

Ryleigh as a little princess

Reagan as a little mouse

Ok, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by.  Have a great rest of the week, take care!

Peace...

Hi, Friends!

We are having lovely fall weather.  The sun is shining with temps in the 70's and farmers are busy harvesting their crops.  I don't have a fall card to share with you today for I jumped ahead to Christmas.  I received the MFT dove die and peace die sentiment recently and couldn't wait to make a card!  I'm sure I'll be making several of these to send out for Christmas!  The background paper I used is from Simple Stories.

Also, we recently went to one of our favorite walking places where we grew up and my son took some family photos.  It was a gorgeous fall day and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery!

Just one more photo showing the farmer harvesting soy beans behind our house...

Behind the soy beans is corn, which I'm sure they will harvest soon.

Ok, that's all for now.  It's time to get out and enjoy this lovely fall weather!  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by.  Take care!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Fall!

It's a beautiful fall day.  Very windy, but the sun is shining!  The tree colors are starting to turn and there are many beautiful ones with lovely color!  The above card is for a friend who has a birthday next month.

I stamped the new fall image from Newton's Nook onto cream colored card stock.  The images were colored with copics.  The sentiments are from Simon Says.  Dots to the centers of the sunflowers and twine were added to finish the card. I'm entering this card over at  NBUS.

As stated above, I mentioned beautiful fall colors.  The photo below is a neighbor's tree, so pretty!

Ok, back to cleaning the house.  I'd much rather be crafting, but I know I'll be able to do that soon.

Oops, I'd like to share one more photo.  It's not a lovely one I assure you.  We had a naughty dog yesterday evening.  We came back home after having dinner at a friend's house and saw quite a mess.  We got the new trash can awhile ago thinking that there was no way that Sheila would be able to get into it or knock it down.  Well, knock it down she did and what a mess!  I do have to say that she was unhappy that we left the house a couple times yesterday, so I believe it was her way of saying ...."You've been gone too long." Thank goodness that there wasn't anything in the trash that harmed her.  She is really something, but we love her!

Please disregard the "bless" sign.  We
did not feel blessed when we saw the
mess, lol!

Sheila being an angel today!

Ok, that's all for now!  Thanks so much for dropping by!  Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs!

Friend...

Hi, there!

I hope you are doing well on this fine Tuesday evening!  It was a nice fall day that got up to about 68 degrees.  Tomorrow will be even better in the 70's.

I'd like to share a card that I made for my hair stylist.  She and her husband have many bee hives and sell honey.  So, of course, I wanted to include a sweet little bee on her card.

For her card, I started with a white card base and used a PTI stencil for the background.  The stamps and images are from Concord & 9th.  I sponged some orange ink on the large flower petals for interest and added color with a copic marker on the small flower.

We enjoyed a camping trip to Maumee Bay State Park last week.  It is a lovely area with many deer.  While we were out walking on on the board walk, we saw this little guy as seen below.  He didn't seem bothered by us at all and continued to eat while we were taking in the beautiful nature.

We may be done camping for the season.  The weatherman says that frost is in the forecast over the weekend....brrr.  I'm not ready for cold weather...are you?

The apple festival is this weekend here in town.  It's that time of year for apples and pumpkins.  I'm looking forward to some festival food, especially the yummy hot apple dumplings with ice cream.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by!  Take care and have a wonderful week!  Hugs!

Happy Halloween!

Hi, there!

I'm back again with a couple more Halloween cards.  And, I think the one above is my favorite one!  My dog, Sheila, is in the cauldron.  Oh, boy!  What trouble did she get into now, lol!  All the dies are from Pretty Pink Posh and the dog image is from La La Land.  This card will go to one of my sisters.

For my next card, I used some wonderful design paper from LDRS.  It made for an awesome background.  I cut out the cute little witch and popped it up in the sky.  The gnome is from Sugar Pea and I stamped stars to his hat.  The pumpkin is from Paper Sweeties.  This card is going to my friend, Nancy, who loves gnomes.

Well, that's all for now.  I've been working on birthday cards lately.  We've been busy around here with different things, but we did have a great weekend celebrating two birthdays.  Our son had a birthday on the 15th and my husband's Aunt Della turned 90 last Sunday.  Such a dear sweet lady!  All her family are so kind and had a wonderful birthday party for her.  It was great seeing my SIL, April, and her husband, Ron, who came up from Tennessee, so fun!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have an awesome weekend, hugs!

Happy Halloween!

Hi, Friends!

It's a cooler day here in NW Ohio.  But, the sun is shining which helps a lot!  I do love fall and it will be here before you know it!

I saw some new goodies from Pretty Pink Posh for Halloween, so I'd like to share with you a card I made.  I'm entering this card over at NBUS Challenge.

The cob web and images are from Pretty Pink Posh.  The first image I did alter just a bit to make it look like my dog, Sheila.  The black cat looks somewhat like my cat, Nicky, but without the white paws.  I forgot to give him white paws.  And, the bunny in the middle because Sheila loves to chase after the rabbits.  The cute rabbits are fun to watch in the yard, but not when they eat my hosta plants, silly wabbits!  All images were colored with copics and the background was made using distress inks.  Enamel dots to finish the card.

I have a couple more Halloween cards made, but I'll share those later.  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care, hugs!!
