Happy Birthday!

Happy Fall!

It's a beautiful fall day.  Very windy, but the sun is shining!  The tree colors are starting to turn and there are many beautiful ones with lovely color!  The above card is for a friend who has a birthday next month.

I stamped the new fall image from Newton's Nook onto cream colored card stock.  The images were colored with copics.  The sentiments are from Simon Says.  Dots to the centers of the sunflowers and twine were added to finish the card. I'm entering this card over at  NBUS.

As stated above, I mentioned beautiful fall colors.  The photo below is a neighbor's tree, so pretty!

Ok, back to cleaning the house.  I'd much rather be crafting, but I know I'll be able to do that soon.

Oops, I'd like to share one more photo.  It's not a lovely one I assure you.  We had a naughty dog yesterday evening.  We came back home after having dinner at a friend's house and saw quite a mess.  We got the new trash can awhile ago thinking that there was no way that Sheila would be able to get into it or knock it down.  Well, knock it down she did and what a mess!  I do have to say that she was unhappy that we left the house a couple times yesterday, so I believe it was her way of saying ...."You've been gone too long." Thank goodness that there wasn't anything in the trash that harmed her.  She is really something, but we love her!

Please disregard the "bless" sign.  We
did not feel blessed when we saw the
mess, lol!

Sheila being an angel today!

Ok, that's all for now!  Thanks so much for dropping by!  Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

  1. That's a great little autumn birthday card with the pumpkins and CAS design! Perfect for this time of the year. The tree looks absolutely stunning with beautiful color, and I love that angelic look on Sheila's adorable face. Dog's can't talk, but they sure let you know how they feel! LOL

  2. A lovely autumn rustic style card Maria, I am sure well received. That tree in your neighbours garden is beautiful. x

  3. This is a wonderful fall card with pumpkins, sunflowers and corn stalks. Perfect and great coloring. That tree is gorgeous and such a pretty sight when you look out. Poor Sheila, she looks repentant. You are lucky you could clean that up - our first dog ate the arm of the couch when I'd been in and out all day and met us at the door with stuffing in his mouth!

  4. What a great fall birthday card, Maria! I love your coloring and the way you scalloped the border, wrapped it in a bow, and used a beautiful teal card base. Love the little punkins, too! Thank you for sharing the photos of that glorious tree and the Adventures of Sheila, lol! Normally I would say Sheila steals the show, but that tree ...! I think you nailed what she was thinking. There is a great article in this month's Nat Geo about just that. It's amazing how "human" they are! Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! I hope your fall lasts many weeks.🍂 Hugs, Darnell

  5. Maria, a pretty fall card and colored so beautifully. Your neighbor's tree is so gorgeous. We are finally getting some fallish temperatures. It's been in the 80's the first couple weeks of October. This week 70's and then upper 50's and rain. We haven't had any measurable rain since June. Anyway, so the leaves should start turning colors soon.

  6. What a great fall birthday card! And that is an absolutely gorgeous tree! Some years ago we had a trip to Canada and USA to see the fall colours, but failed miserably - we were about 2 weeks too early! Thank you for sharing with us at NBUS

  7. Oh that naughty Sheila! Good thing she has her angel days--haha! Love everything about the card, Maria--beautiful image beautifully colored! Your neighbor's tree is so pretty! We have a lot of pretty ones now, too. Finally rain is in the forecast starting tomorrow. We really need it & hopefully it will help with the wildfires & our air will improve.

  8. A lovely fall birthday card. Beautifully coloured and designed.
    Oh Sheila!… 😂
ps… so glad you received your Halloween card!
