Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

I'm back again with another birthday card.  I'm entering this card over at Seize the Birthday. This is a special card for a young boy named, Jason.  I just saw a post on FB last night from my friend, Char.  This young boy is unfortunately terminally ill.  He is requesting birthday cards for his birthday.  He loves funny cards and cards with animals.  I went to work and came up with the card below.  I hope he likes it!  And, here is the card...

For my card I started with a white card base and adhered a black strip along the left side.  I sponged the circle background with distress ink.  The stamp set is from Lawn Fawn and the birthday die cut is from MFT.  The images were colored with copics.  Enamel gems from Close to my Heart to finish the card.  The birthday card for him will probably be late, but better late than never.  I had fun making this card.  I really love this sweet fun set from Lawn Fawn and the birthday die cut from MFT!   If you wish to send him a birthday card, here is his address...

Celebrate!

Hi, there!

Just popping in to share with you a card I made for my niece's birthday next month.  I'm entering this card over at Seize the Birthday.  The theme is "Anything Goes".  And, here is my card...

For my card I started with a white card base.  The flower stamp and sentiment is from Simon Says.  I colored the flower image with copics and outlined the flowers and leaves with a copic multiliner for more definition.  I added Nuvo gold crystal drops to the center of the flowers to finish the card.

Not much going on here except I've been working on DT assignments and Christmas projects.  I took time out to see if I could see the eclipse yesterday.  I didn't really have any luck due to the clouds and we weren't in the line of the path.  I guess we are to see one here in about seven years. It was great watching some of it on TV, though.

Paper Sweeties August 2017 Release Rewind!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Rewind!  Today we share with you a project with new stamps/dies combined with previous released stamps/dies.  And, here is my card...

A sweet friendly sentiment for friendship, don't you think?  And, Abigail and Madison are great friends!  They are enjoying laughter and good times with a cup of coffee, which is always great with friends!

For my card, I started with a navy card base and paired it with striped pink paper.  The background was stamped with a polka dotted coffee cup from the set You Warm my Heart.  Abigail's outfit is from the set Thanks Berry Much.  Instead of the strawberry on her dress I added a heart from the set A friend is.  Madison's outfit is from the set Aloha.  The friendship recipe stamp is from the same set.   The frame was die cut using Sweet Cuts-A friend is.

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Party!  Today is the day that you can purchase the wonderful new stamp/die sets that are released this month!  A scalloped frame, sweet sentiments, flowers and a fun bicycle set!  Please scroll down to see my second post for Dies R Us.  And, here is my card...

I used the newly released bicycle again for my card, but wanted some depth and interest by adding the smaller bicycle in the background.  I added the smiley faces for fun.  For some reason, I just love smiley faces.  They just look at you and make you want to smile, too!

I started with a white card base and water colored the background using Distress Oxide inks of Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, and Twisted Citron.  I used the new sets that were released this month, which is A friend is(frame and flowers) and Hugs and Kisses(large bicycle and sentiment).  The coordinating dies are Sweet Cuts-A friend is and Sweet Cuts-Hugs and Kisses.  The previously released sets that I used are planner stamps...Planner Series: Happy Icons(smileys) and Planner Series: Vacation(small bicycles).  Ribbon(Green Apple) to finish the card.

Dies R Us Challenge-August 15, 2017(Anything Goes with Dies)

Hi, Friends!

I'm here to share with you my card for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is (Anything Goes with Dies).  I made an anniversary card for my sister and her husband.  It's hard to believe that her wedding was fifty years ago and I was just a little girl of eight years of age as her flower girl.  A wonderful 50th anniversary party on Sunday with friends and family!  I wish Don and Donna many more years of happiness together!

And, here is my card...

For my card I started with a white base and paired it with gold paper from Altenew and DCSV.  The tag is from Ms. Sparkle &Co.  The 50th celebration die is from Memory Box.  The heart borders are from Die-Versons and the heart vine is from Penny Black. The pearls are from SU.  The pearl butterfly and flower are from Prima to finish the card.

 All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

Paper Sweeties August 2017 Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Sneak Peeks!  Debbie has designed a fabulous new set...Hugs and Kisses.  Also, new dies... Sweet Cuts-Hugs and Kisses for this month's release!  Wonderful sentiments in the set along with bike, gift, balloons, cupcake, and basket!  The new sets will be released tomorrow on the 15th!  And, here is my card...

For my card I started with a light tan base and paired it with gold paper.  The balloons and the bike were die cut with gold to give some depth.  Doodlebug paper for the yellow/orange background.  The bike, balloons, and sentiment were embossed with gold embossing powder from Ranger.  They are from the new set Hugs and Kisses.  The grass was made using the die cut from the set Sweet Cuts-Thanks Snow Much.  Sequins(Orange) and twine to finish the card.

Today I'm revealing my planner pages for the month of August!  There isn't a new planner set for this month, but I've used many previously released sets.  I decided to go with a summer theme with Jake, the surfer!   And, now a closer peek at my planner pages...

Jake is ready to surf the big waves!  His outfit, fish, boat, and surf board is from the set Surf's Up.  The boat on his shirt is from Planner Series:Vacation.  The star fish, sentiment, and beach ball are from the set At the Beach.  The waves were die cut using the set Sweet Cuts-Let's go the the Beach.  The planner sets that I used are Planner Series:Get Your Craft On, Planner Series:Happy Icons, Planner Series: Appointments, Planner Series: Vacation, and Planner Series-Celebrate .
