Love...

Hi there!

How are you doing on this Tuesday evening?  I
just want to share with you another Valentine
card that I made.  The sweet heart paper is from
Crate Paper(Fourteen).  I'm lovin' that line of paper!
The big heart stamp is from Stapendous.  I added
frills here and there with pearls and gems, flowers,
twine, and cute glittery heart button.  I love making
cards for Valentine's Day because I love the color
red!  And, not to mention hearts, of course!

Hope you have a great week and lots of fun in your
craft room!  Thanks for stopping by today, hugs!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi Friends!

This is my second post for today.  So, I'll make this
one short and sweet.  This is just a quick card I made
up last night.  I used some lovely BoBunny paper.
I just love those blue flowers and pink little hearts.
A doily seemed right for this card with a shimmery
white ribbon.  I punched out the hearts and added
the sentiment.  Easy as 1, 2, 3!  I really like how
this simple card came out, so I may be doing it
in different colors for variation.  Ok, that's all
for now.  Take care and thanks for visiting here
today, hugs!

Photo inspiration this week for
The Shabby Tea Room

Hi there!

How's the weekend going for ya so far?  I hope it's a
great one for ya whatever you have planned.  I had
some crafty time last night and came up with the
above card.  I'm entering it over at The Shabby Tea Room.

We were to include colors of the photo, a flower, and
stripes.  My stripes are a little difficult to see.  If you
look closely, I have a strip of stripes along the left
side of the card.  Anyways,  I stamped up a pretty
little lady and added pearls for a necklace.  Doily,
burlap and punched circle with pearls.  The paper
I used was My Mind's Eye.  I stamped up a little
heart from Paper Sweeties for added interest.  The
yummy seam binding ribbon is from Paper Sweeties,
also.  Gorgeous flowers from Recollections were
added to finish off the card.  This sweet little
card will go to my niece for her birthday.

Thanks so much for dropping by!  We're thinking
of taking in a movie later this afternoon.  We've
seen several movies lately.  Lincoln was the last
movie we saw, which was very good.  Well,
take care and have a wonderful weekend, hugs!

Hi Friends!

Hope all my crafty friends are doing well today!

I was quite happy to get home early from
work to take a photo of my card in daylight!:-)
I am entering this card over at City Crafter Challenge.
The challenge this week is to make a card or project
using hearts.  I got out some fab Crate Paper and
whipped up this little gem.

Here is another view of my card...

For dimension I cut out a heart shape on cardboard and
covered it with paper.  The felt pink heart is PTI.  Gems

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi Friends!

How are you doing on this fine cold January day?  I
am doing better since my last post.  And, I do thank
you for all your sweet comments and support!  You
truly are my sweet bloggy friends, and it's appreciated!

I thought I'd get a few things done before going in
for a work meeting.  Such as posting this card
and doing some laundry.  But, I'm thinking...ok...
why does my boss schedule a work meeting on
my day off?  It's 11 degrees outside.  I certainly
do not want to go out into the cold blustery wind..lol!
But, another co-worker, Mary, has to do the same,
so no need to whine.:-)

Anyways, my card is for a good friend of mine who
loves owls.  I love owls, too!  I just think they are
so cute!  My crafting buddy gives me little
owl stamps, stickers, anything owl when she finds
those little darlings.  She actually gave me the paper,
owls, and hearts.  So, what better way to show my
appreciation than to make this little owl Valentine
card for her?!  As you can see, it was pretty easy
to put together.  Fun hearts everywhere with the
owls, paper, and pretty glittery hearts.  Twine,
ribbon, and gems to finish the card.

Whew, I didn't mean to write such a long post.  You
still with me?:-)  Well, thank you so much for
dropping by today.  I'll be around to visit your
wonderful creations.  Take care, hugs!

My Heart is Yours...

Hi there!

TGIF!  Aren't you glad it's Friday?!  It's been a hectic
week for me emotionally and physically.  Some things
going on in my personal life, which I won't go into, but
my card therapy certainly helps to distract me!:-)  This
shall pass too.  I must trust in the Lord for His under-
standing and plan and not mine.  Oh, but isn't it difficult
at times?

Anyways, I whipped up this little Valentine card for
my husband.  I just love the Valentine paper from
Reminisce.  It reminds me of when I was a school
girl long long ago...lol!  I couldn't resist putting
on some glitterly hearts and ribbon.  I tried the
ever popular chalkboard technique by BetsyVeldman.
I could have been more precise, but maybe by my
next try at this fun technique it'll be better.  I'm
entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday.
The theme this week for the challenge is anything
goes.  Easy peasy, huh?!

OK...I just might be back with another card before
the weekend is done.  You take care and enjoy
your crafting!  Thanks for dropping by, hugs!

LOVE...

Hi Friends!

How's your weekend going?  Mine is going well
so far.  And, I can't complain about the weather
for today it's supposed to reach 60.  That is very
unusual for NW Ohio in January...wow!  But,
it doesn't hurt my feelings one bit...lol!  I wanted
to get this posted before meeting up with some
friends for lunch.  I don't see them every week
like I used to because I had to quit bowling due
to my back.  Maybe one day I'll return to
bowling only time will tell.

Anyways, I'm here to tell you about my card.
I entered this card over at The Shabby Tea Room.
This week we were to follow the colors in the photo
and include ribbon/bow and a flower.

Here is the lovely elegant photo inspiration...

Isn't it a beauty?!  That is one gorgeous display of
gifts!  I've never wrapped a gift with such elegance,
but it certainly gives me inspiration to do so!  My
card is really self-explanatory.  I used a fancy
square die behind the dimensional flower with pearls
I added flowers, ribbon, bow, and a lovely button
from Webster's.  Ok, friends, that's it for now.
Take care and have a great weekend, hugs!

Happy Birthday!

The lovely inspiration photo...

Hi Friends!

This is my second post for the day.  It has been awhile
since I've entered a challenge for Inspired by Stamping.
They have wonderful stamps and an amazing design team!
Stop on over and get inspired by their lovely projects!

There are a couple birthdays in January to make cards
for, so I thought I'd get an early start.  The card is pretty
self-explanatory.  I embossed the background paper
and butterflies for interest.  The focal point was
stamped along with the sentiment.  I used MFT dies
for the scalloped border and flourish.  The tiny blue
birds on the flourish are from a Martha Stewart
punch.  Tiny gems were added for their eyes.
Prima flowers and ribbon were added to finish
off the birthday card.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Hope you are
having a great day!  Take care, hugs!

Monogram Madness!

Hi there!

How are you doing on this first week of January? It's very cold and windy here in NW Ohio. The snow is lovely, but difficult to drive in at times with the drifting snow. But, hey, it's winter and only a few more months until spring!:-) I just wanted to share with you today a project I made for the The Shabby Tea Room One must follow the colors in the photo and include a monogram. This sweet little project is to sit in my craft room. I'm thinking of making another one for my niece who is due in May. So, I'll have to wait a bit until she chooses a name for the baby. Here is the inspiration photo we were to follow:

For the challenge, I took a cream colored wooden plaque and distressed the edges with tea dye ink. White paper was added over the plaque with dotted vellum paper to soften the look. Some pretty My Mind's Eye papers behind the cloth doily. Another doily added for interest with monogram. And, the sweet Melissa Frances resin frame was embellished with flowers, leaves, and pearls. The satin ribbon is recycled from a Christmas gift, which I thought was perfect for this project!:-) Here is another view...

I thank you for visiting today! Stay warm and have a wonderful weekend, hugs!

Friendship Warms the Heart

Hi Friends!

Happy New Year!  I certainly hope this year brings
good health, joy, and peace into your life.  Another
year already, which seems to me unbelievable.  The
last one flew by too quickly.  But, on to new joys
and new experiences that is what life is all about.
I have a niece who is expecting in May.  She is
to have an ultrasound this month to find out if it's
a boy or girl.  So, the whole family is anticipating
that great joy that will be coming this year!

Today I want to share with you my card for Paper
Sweeties Sketch Inspiration #3.  I am honored that I
was asked to be the guest designer this month for
Paper Sweeties!

Here is the sketch we are to follow for this month...

The adorable snowman's hat and scarf was paper
pieced.  I added tiny red gems to his round belly
and holly on the hat.  The scalloped circle behind
him was embossed and glittered.  The edges were
sewn and distress ink was added.  Yummy seam
binding from Paper Sweeties.  Doesn't that sentiment
warm your heart?  It is just too SWEET!  So, please join
us for the challenge this month and check out the
design team's creations.  You will find lots of
inspiration!  Thanks for visiting here today.  Take
care and Happy New Year!
