Fur Babies!

We hope you all had a wonderful blessed Christmas!  We had a great time with our son, his friend, Ethan, and the animals!  Our son didn't go to NJ as planned.  Lots of Covid running rampant, so he cancelled the trip.  It gave us more time with visiting.  We played cards and got out an old game Taboo.  One word was mansion.  My hubby gave the clue .....This is what the Beverly Hillbillies had.  My son had a puzzled look on his face and said I never watched that show, lol!  We had lots of laughs.  We got a big kick out of the animal antics, too!  One time the cat was curious and went into Maverick's crate.  The cat was cornered and so scared when Maverick approached the cat.  My hubby rescued poor little Nicky.  And, I can just imagine what Sheila is thinking in the above photo.  She's probably thinking is he(Nicky) doing in this photo?!:-)  Anyways, it was a wonderful Christmas!  I'll be doing more celebrating with my sisters on January 7th.  I'm looking forward to another fun get-together!

We noticed that our matching jammies could not be seen in the above photo, so we took another one...

Thanks so much for dropping by!  We're wishing you all a new year filled with many blessings!  Happy New Year!  Take care, hugs!!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I'm wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and a new year filled with many blessings!

I hope you all are able to breathe a little before the big day arrives.  I have taken yesterday and today to relax a bit before our Christmas dinner.  Our Christmas here will be just a little bit different with our son leaving Christmas morning to New Jersey to visit with some friends.   We will enjoy a nice dinner out tonight and tomorrow we will do our Christmas meal, church, and opening of the gifts.  My son plays the organ for the midnight service, which is actually at 10:30 pm.  I always look forward to hearing him play the Hallelujah Chorus song and the closing song of Silent Night with all lights out holding a lit candle.  While our son is in New Jersey, we will watch our grand dog, Maverick.  I think it'll be a 3-ring circus.  Yes, literally, with two dogs and a cat this year!:-)

Anyways, I do have a couple cards that I'd like to share with you.  I really enjoyed making these cards with different variations.  I did take one photo of one of them that I sent.  It was very relaxing stitching these while watching TV in the evening.

The snowflake die is from Spellbinder's.  And, the circle die is from the Greetery.  Gems added to finish the card.

My friend, Greta, sent me the circle stitch panel to make the above card.  It is from Spellbinder's, also.  I did case it and I don't know who designed it.  It is the example on the Spellbinder's sight.  I sent it to Greta for her Christmas card.

Ok, well that's all for now.  Have a wonderful blessed Christmas!!  Take care, hugs!!

25 Days of Christmas with Paper Sweeties! (December 2021)

Hi, there!  It's my day again to share with you a project that I made for the 25 Days of Christmas with Paper Sweeties!  I hope you check out all the days this month that the Paper Sweeties designers have made projects to inspire you!

As seen above, I made a Christmas card using the set Manger.  The baby Jesus in the manger was embossed with gold.  The scallop frame is from the set Sweet Cuts-Oval Scallop Frames.  I embossed the sentiment stamp for the background.  Avery Elle white ink spray and Perfect Pearls Mists-gold for the background, also.  Nuvo Gold drops were applied to the scallop frame.  Star stickers for the final touch.  It was a fun artsy card to make!  I did my best not to get ink spray on me!:-)

25 Days of Christmas with Paper Sweeties 2021!

Hi, there!  It's my day to share with you a project that I made for the 25 Days of Christmas with Paper Sweeties!  I hope you check out all the days this month that the Paper Sweeties designers have made projects to inspire you!

As seen above, I made a Christmas gift card holder using one of my favorite sets using Planner Series:  Happy Holidays.  Even though I used the planner stamps quite often for my planner, they are great for other projects as well!  The planner stamps are on sale...50% off!

This gift card holder was easy peasy!  I saw this done at a crop I went to last month.  It is an envelope folded in half!  The envelope flap is cut down the center.  The sentiment is from the set Merry.  The scallop frames are from the set Sweet Cuts:  Square Scallop Frames.  The background was sprayed with Avery Elle ink spray.  The white ink spray is a game changer, so easy and it comes out in a fine spray.  It's wonderful!  Green Apple ribbon to finish the gift card holder.

Here is the inside...

The inside sentiment is from the set Do you see what I see?

Dies R Us Challenge December 15, 2021(Anything Goes!)

Hello, Friends!  It's time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is Anything Goes!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win!

And, it's nearly Christmas!  How are all those Christmas preparations coming along?  Even though I'm retired, it doesn't seem that there are enough hours in the day to prepare for the holidays.

I have a sparkly card to share with you today.

I started with a white card base and added the die cut tree from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  The sentiment is from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also.  The deer is from La-La Land.  Star, gems, and bow on the deer to finish the card.
Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today.  Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I'm still working on Christmas cards.  How about you?  I've mailed quite a few out, but continue to work on some.  I'm wondering where my Christmas elf is hiding.  I seem to have a lack of energy this year to get everything done.  The joy of Christmas seems to have been zapped out of me with everything going on in the world.  Two family members have Covid.  They are at home in quarantine and are getting better, thank goodness.

But, I must focus on what I can do and see the blessings that are around me.  I'm happy that I can create Christmas cards and I really enjoyed doing some with the kids at church last Sunday.  In fact, one of the images that I made for them to color is the one I have to share with you today.  I'm entering this card over at Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge.  It's a new challenge to me and I just love the beautiful image they have on their side bar!  They have some wonderful images to spark your creativity!

For my card, I started with a gray card base.  I used a stencil from Simon Says for the star.  Glitz glitter gel in blue to make the star shine.  The image and sentiment is from MFT and colored with copics.  A gem for the center of the star to finish the card.

Ok, well that's all for now.  Take care and enjoy your day!

Hugs!

Dies R Us Challenge December 1, 2021(Anything Goes!)

Happy Holidays!

Time is ticking away...tick tock...tick tock!  It's nearly time for Christmas.  How did it get to December already?  Time flies when you're having fun, especially when you are making Christmas cards!  And, I have a Christmas card to share with you with a lovely red cardinal.  I love seeing cardinals this time of year, especially against a bright white snow, so pretty!

It's time for another challenge and the theme is Anything Goes!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate at the Dies R Us Challenge!

For today's card, I started with a teal card base and paired it with paper from Lawn Fawn.  The cardinal, sentiment, and small snowflakes are from Newton's Nook.  The snowflake stencil and scalloped circle are from Lawn Fawn.  I used Nuvo glimmer paste for the large snowflakes.  Red ribbon and gems to finish the card.
