CCCB-Week 312--Pretty in Pastels!



Hi, Friends!

I have the pleasure and honor of guest designing for City Crafter this week!  The theme this week is ...Pretty pink 'n' pastels!  Your project is to have pastel colors and it needs to include the pretty color of pink!  And, here is my card...



For my card, I started with a white card base.  And, on the next panel I water colored the background using Tim Holtz inks...spun sugar, picked raspberry, and shabby shutters.  I stamped the sentiments and butterflies.  A pretty white die cut flower was placed.  A border on the left with patterned paper for interest.   Pretty bow and pearls to finish off the card.

    What gorgeous sugary shades you've used! (Actually I had 'Picked Raspberry' ink for years believing its name was 'Pickled Raspberry'!) I really love how delicate the flower and the butterfly look. This is stunning.

    Oooh Maria, this is one of my all-time favorites of yours! Wow! It's exquisite. The background colors are so dreamy, as are the abundance of butterflies. The sentiment is heartwarming and your card design is perfection. And oh that gorgeous flower silhouette! I have that die and used it a couple of years ago... but it was nowhere near the beauty you have created. I love this card so much. Congratulations on your guest designer spot, my talented friend!
