I'm back! It's been too long since I've posted. But, it was great to get away and enjoy some "us" time on vacation! We had a wonderful stay in Savannah, Ga. It is truly one lovely city with fabulous architecture, beautiful fountains, gorgeous trees and flowers! Oh, and of course, delicious food! We parked our car and walked everywhere. My old bones held up and I welcomed the exercise!
Anyways, I'll share a few pics of our vacation, but first I'll tell you about the above card that I made before vacation. It is for my friend's husband who is battling cancer. The lighthouse image is from Inspired by Stamping. And, the sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy. I used zig markers to water color the card. I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday.
We stayed at the Savannah Bed & Breakfast, which has a Victorian style. It was wonderful to sit on the porch for breakfast or at any time to sip a cold beverage. We parked the car on the street next to the inn and walked down town every day, which was only about a fifteen minute walk. I'm just thankful that it wasn't in the 90's for the humidity was very high. You still with me? Ok...here are some pics of our trip...
Beautiful architecture
Cathedral of John the Baptist
Forsyth Park
We feel the highlight of our trip was eating
at Paula Dean's restaurant, Lady & Sons.
Randy had the shrimp and grits
I had chicken pot pie
We also had a delicious dinner at Vic's on the river.
I felt like my son taking foodie pics, lol! But, all
in all we had a wonderful time!
Thanks so much for dropping by today! Hope you
have a great week! Take care!
Hugs,
Maria
