Hi there!
And, welcome to September Sneak Peeks! Today, I'm so excited to highlight one of the new die sets this month, which is Sweet Cuts-Homegrown along with the coordinating stamp set Homegrown! I used all four of the fruits in the stamp set on the above card. The *new* dies and stamps will be available on 9-15-15 for you to purchase!
For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with red and tan. The sentiment is from the same set and the twine(strawberry) is from Paper Sweeties, also.
I love all kinds of fruit and in June we picked up some strawberries at a local farmer's market...yum! I found a good recipe and made a strawberry pie. And, so, I'd like to share the recipe with you...

Ingredients:
1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked 3
Tablespoons cornstarch
1 quart fresh strawberries ¾
c. water
1 c. white sugar ½
c. heavy whipping cream
Directions:
1.
Arrange
half of strawberries in baked pastry shell. Mash
remaining berries and combine with sugar in
a medium saucepan.
Place saucepan over medium heat and bring
to a boil, stirring fre-
quently.
2. In a
small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Gradually
stir cornstarch mixture into boiling
strawberry mixture. Reduce
heat and simmer mixture until thickened,
about 10 minutes,
stirring constantly. Pour mixture over berries in pastry
shell. Chill
for several hours before serving. In a small bowl, whip cream until
soft peaks form. Serve each slice of pie with a dollop of
whipped
cream.
Happy Baking!:-)
