Sending hugs & happy thoughts!
Hi, Friends!
Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday afternoon! I was another warm day here in NW Ohio. It feels more like spring rather than winter. The fog is rolling in, so I'm glad I'm home safe and sound in my house. I just finished up a card that I started a couple days ago using one of my new stamps I received for Christmas. An Altenew stamp set...Beautiful Day! I'm entering this card over at NBUS Challenge. And, here is my card...
For my card, I started with a kraft card base and embossed the flowers. I colored the flowers using my SU colored pencils. I used a white pencil for the base and colored with pink and purple. I went over the flower with white to soften and blend the colors. White dots were added to the center of the flowers and a white acrylic paint wash splattered for the final touch. I love to color and really enjoyed this technique!
Well, my husband is watching the Packers v. Falcons football game, so I'll take a break and watch some with him. We are rooting for the Packers today. But, as always, may the best team win! Thank you so much for dropping by! Take care and have a blessed week!
Hugs,
Maria

ReplyDeleteHi Sweetie! I have been missing in action, and haven't made any cards all year. I just piddle around when I have time. I figured I would visit my friends for some of that great inspiration! I love the kraft and your pretty purple coloring!!!!!BIG HUGS!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful choice of colors for your flowers, Maria! We rooted for the Packers, too, but have to be happy that a team who hasn't been to the Super Bowl in so many years gets a chance. Wish we could all go to a Super Bowl party together!

Love the color you chose! Hope you are having a great week! Heart Hugs, Colleen
ReplyDeleteI really love this - the effect of pencils on kraft looks great but I think the white dogs and splatters really make the card.
