Happy Birthday!

Hello there!

It's been a little while since I've been here.  Appointments and a camping trip kept me busy for the last two weeks.  Anyways, I'd like to share with you the above card that I made for a friend's birthday.

I started with a white card base and paired it with an embossed panel.  The cloud embossing folder is from Altenew.  The clouds are from Spellbinder's.  The sunflower and sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  The fence and grass dies are from MFT.  I used distress ink on the sunflower for interest,  Gold stems to finish the card.

I thought I'd share just a few photos of when we went camping this past weekend to Hocking Hills here in Ohio.  I did well with hiking Old Man's Cave with my walking sticks.  It's been nearly three months since I had my hip surgery.  I almost didn't do the hike, but I was up for the challenge and happy that I did it!  The weather was perfect and we had a great time!

Ok, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for dropping by today, take care!

Hugs!

You Are Spec-taco-lar!

Hi, Friends!

I just posted the other day, but here I am again because I checked out some awesome inspiration over at Lawn Fawn!   I recently purchased some goodies from them with the Treat Cart Add-on Tacos.  I just love all the darling critters from Lawn Fawn!  Those critters are having a taco fest and one is celebrating a birthday!  My son often goes to a Mexican restaurant with his work friends, so I thought he might appreciate this birthday card.  I combined sets of Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Window, Critters in the Desert, Treat Cart Add-on: Tacos, and Cactus Hillside Border.  I colored all the images with copics.  And, I used distress inks for the background.  I'm entering this card over at  Lawn Fawn ChallengeNBUS, and Cardz 4 Galz

Merry Christmas!

Hi, there!

How are you doing on this fine Friday afternoon?  I'm doing well here and had a nice lunch out with hubby before going to the grocery store.  I usually don't like to go to the grocery store on the weekends, but it wasn't too bad at all.  I came home and made a banana cream pie.  So, we will have a yummy dessert this evening!

Anyways, I'm here to share with you a card I made to enter because my friend, Greta, is the guest designer over at The Christmas Kickstart Challenge.  I got to thinking that I haven't made any Christmas cards yet.  And, to think that Christmas is just a few months away!

For my card, I started with a red card base.  The wreath stencil that I used is from Altenew.  I used glossy accents on the berries.  I used distress inks for the wreath.  Gold gems and a sparkly bow to complete the card.

Ok, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for dropping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you!

Hi, Friends!

I had a busy weekend of crafting at a crop with some friends.  I had fun making a few cards using the rose stencil from Simon Says.  I wanted to make this card using the alpha dies from Close to my Heart from a friend who gave me the dies.  I just love the pretty rose stencil that makes for an easy card, which can be used for so many occasions. Gold dots and a bow were added to finish the card.

I'm entering this card over at I.D.E.A.S. by Darnell for Anything Goes.

It's still hot here and very humid.  It feels like Florida!  We will have cooler weather this weekend, though.  I'm looking forward to visiting with our son and going to the Ohio State Fair on Saturday.  This old gal can't take the heat and humidity for too long, so I'm happy to see that the temps will be much cooler!

Ok, I'll post more cards later.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I'd like to share with you a masculine birthday card that I made.  Lots of bright shiny stars on this card to help celebrate the birthday guy!  The stars were die cut using dies from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The paper is from MFT.  And, how sad that MFT is going out of business.  I have lots of MFT stamps, paper, and dies.  I certainly wish Kim lots of luck on her next adventure!

We made our first camping trip last weekend to one of the state parks here in Ohio(Alum Creek State Park).  We had a great time even though we had a couple rainy days.  Our son, his friend, and son's dog came along for the camping fun.  We are planning another trip to Hocking Hills next month.  We are looking forward to it!

Here are a few camping photos...

Happy 4th of July!

Hi, there!

Happy 4th to all my family and friends in the USA!  What fun things did you do to celebrate?  We watched the fireworks last night and today we went to Maumee Bay State Park for a picnic.  It was quite warm, but we were thankful for the breeze.  Afterwards, we stopped for ice cream to cool off!

Today, I'd like to share with you a simple card I made for my sis.  She loves anything patriotic.  It was a patriotic thank you card for she brought over delicious lasagna.

The card was made using Carta Bella paper and die cut.  The flower accent gems are from SU.  I think I am going to hoard them for they are so pretty!  Twine added to finish the card.

I hope you are staying cool!  It's still hot here, but the humidity isn't too bad today.  It might just be a hot summer for us.

A recent photo of my two kitties...

Coco is on the chair and Nicky is on the floor.

Coco wanted her belly rubbed.  She thinks she's a princess!

Ok, that's all for now.  I hope you have a wonderful safe weekend!  Thanks so much for dropping by!

Happy Bee-Day!

Hi, Friends!

It's hot hot hot!  I say thank goodness for air conditioning.  I'll be so thankful, too, for tomorrow is my last day to wear the compression stockings!  I'll be able to wear shorts and sandals!  I'm coming right along with my hip recovery.  I hope to enjoy some summer activities such as camping next month!

But, anyways, I'd like to share with you a card I made for a friend's birthday!  She likes bees, so a bee card it is.  The bee image is from Simon Says Stamp.  The background was made using a stencil from Tim Holtz.  Sequins added to finish the card.

Well, I'm going to buzz right along out of here for dinner is nearly ready.  I thank you very much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a wonderful rest of the week!

Happy Birthday!

Hello, Friends!

I certainly miss being up here in my craft room!  I'm not supposed to do a lot of stairs yet while recuperating from hip surgery.  I finished my home PT this past week and start regular PT tomorrow.  I have progressed to a cane.  I can hardly wait to be walking normal once again!  Oh, the things that we take for granted!

I have a couple of cards to share today that I had made before surgery.  The above card went out to a friend.  I didn't write down the company for the flower image.  The butterfly and border was made with a punch.  And, the embossed background was given to me by a friend.

Next up...

This card went out to my great nephew.  He recently graduated from high school and will soon be going to college.  They grow up so fast, don't they?!  The balloon image is from SSS.

Ok, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful day!  Take care, hugs!!

Hello!

Hi, Friends!

Happy Saturday to you!  I hope you are having a great weekend so far!  I finished the above card to keep in my stash.  I didn't have a specific person to send this to yet.  I know that it can be used for most any occasion, so I added the hello sentiment from Altenew.  The flowers were die cut using Altnew dies.  The petals were sponged with white ink and gems added to finish the card.  I've seen quite a few cards recently using Bold Bloom dies from Spellbinder's using this same design from Jennifer McGuire.  I decided to use colors that were already on my craft desk.  Lots of die cutting, but fun to put together with such an easy design!  I'm sure I'll be making more cards with this design in different colors.

This may very well be my last post for several weeks, since my hip surgery is on May 29th.  But, I'm sure that I'll be visiting your blogs to see your lovely creations.  And, wouldn't you know that the weather is going to nice next weekend.  Lately, it has been cool and rainy.  Today the sun is finally shining, though.  The warmer weather will give me incentive to walk and exercise that hip around our deck.  I'll be back to creating before you know it!

Ok, friends, thanks so much for taking the time to drop by!  Take care and have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I'm just popping in quick to share with you a card that I made for my sister.  Her birthday is next month and she loves to swim.  Also, she loves flamingos.  I can certainly see her floating in her pool with a tropical drink in hand.  It is her happy place!  Now, we just need some warmer weather!

For my card, I started with a white card base and used a die from Lawn Fawn for the pool.  The girl image, sun, and sentiment is from MFT.  The flamingo, flowers, pineapple, and leaf is from Sunny Studio.

Ok, friends, that's all for now.  I hope you are having a great week so far!  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today, take care!

Thinking of You!

Hi, Friends!

Happy Friday to you!  I needed a thinking of you card for a former co-worker who will be having surgery in a few weeks.  She loves sunflowers, so I got out a stamp set from MFT and colored the image with copics.  The die cut panels are from Emily Moore and the sentiment is from Sunny Studio.  Ribbon and gems added to finish the card.

I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday

Ok, that's all for now, my friends!  Thanks so much for dropping by!  Take care and have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!

Hello and Thank You!

Hi, Friends!

Hope you're having a great Wednesday!  It's hard to believe that it's the last day of April.  I had a wonderful time away last weekend at a craft retreat with friends and yummy food!  My hubby is away today with the Lion's Club making some prepares on their grill and cupboards, so I made the above card, held the kitties, and worked on a few other things around the house.

The card was made using die cut flowers from TE.  The hello die is from Altenew and the fence die is from MFT.  The center of the flowers was made using a punch.

Next up, is the thank you that I made at the retreat.  I made several of these cards to have on hand for my stash.

The card was made using the daisy die from Lawn Fawn.  The scalloped oval is from Newton's Nook.  The die cut panel was made using a die from Emily Moore Designs.  It's a little difficult to see, but it has a pretty design all around the panel.

Ok, friends, that's all for now.  I hope you have a great day!  Thanks so much for dropping by!
Take care!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

Just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for my niece.  I used the Pretty Pink Posh dies for the images.  The background die is from Pink Fresh and the birthday sentiment is from Hero Arts, I think.  I have that stamp set packed away at the moment for I'm going on a craft retreat this weekend.  I hope my hip holds up, but it's just here in town and I'll be coming home at night since I haven't been sleeping the best.  I have a hip replacement scheduled for 5-29.

I just realized that I think I have the butterfly upside down?  Should the large wings be at the top?  It's just like me, I get turned upside down at times, lol!

Ok, friends that's all for now.  Time to check on the laundry.  Take care and thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!

Thinking of you!

Hi, Friends!

Happy Tuesday to you!  I made the above card for a friend who is having some health issues.  I thought this spring card might cheer her up.

I made the clouds using a stencil from Pretty Pink Posh.  The bird and branch was made from a SU punch.  The flowers are from Lawn Fawn. The fence die is from MFT.  The sentiment is from The Greetery.

It's another cold day here in NW Ohio.  It's very windy, too.  Where is spring?!  I'll be happy when the temps are more stable.  We have had extreme temp changes from nearly 70's to 40's.  I have one daffodil blooming at this time.  I'm looking forward to having more bloom and I can hardly wait until our weeping cherry tree blooms.  Hubby plans to mow the lawn this week, too, if he can miss the rain.  I'm sure things will even out soon for it is April after all.

Ok, that's all for today, friends!  I hope you are having a wonderful day!  Thanks so much for dropping by, take care!

Happy Easter!

Hello, Friends!

Are you ready for Easter?  Just a couple weeks away and the day will be here.  Easter is one holiday that I take the day off from cooking, yeah!  We go out to one of our favorite restaurants and eat delicious food!  Whatever you have planned for the special holiday I hope you have a great day!

The above card is one that was sent out to a my friend, Greta.  She gave me the pretty embossed panel, so I thought I'd make a card for her with it.  Thank you, Greta!  The new butterflies are from Lawn Fawn.  Aren't those the sweetest little butterflies?!  The sentiment is from Simon Says.  I sponged the butterflies with distress ink.  Gold dots to finish the card.

I'm entering this card over at the NBUS Challenge and The Four Seasons Challenge.

Ok, friends.  Have a happy crafty day!  Thanks so much for dropping by today, take care!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

How are things with you on this fine Tuesday afternoon?  I decided to use some neglected supplies and bring out my zig markers to water color the above card.  I also used distress sprays of yellow, gold, and white.  I believe I was heavy-handed with the yellow spray.  The spray really does have a mind of its own at times, lol!  Anyways, I was happy with the gold embossing of the pretty flowers from Creative Worship Stamps formerly called Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  The sentiment is from MFT.  Gems were added to finish the card.

It was fun getting out today with going to our hair appointments and having lunch afterwards.  Making the above card this afternoon was fun, too.  Now it's time to do some work around here.  The laundry is calling so I'll scoot for now.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have a wonderful evening!

Hugs!
