Amish Country

This is the hotel where we stayed at this past weekend.  It had a lovely garden, gazebo, and pond.
A photo of me near the garden.
A photo of my handsome husband in the gazebo.
Many horse and buggy are seen along the roads.
A couple of horses waiting patiently for their owers to return.
Another view of the countryside.
We had fun feeding the colorful fish.
We had the good fortune of watching a wedding at the gazebo yesterday afternoon.  I so wanted to take pictures, but I didn't want to be a wedding crasher!:-)  Anyways, I hope you enjoyed viewing the photos!  It was great to get away for a couple of days.  We love to visit Amish Country here in Ohio usually about once a year.  It is a slower pace of life and very relaxing.

My Mom is doing better.  We visited with her today before coming home.
She is weak yet, and she is getting physical therapy.  We bought her some maple covered cashews,  which gave her a big smile!:-)  I thank you again for thoughts and prayers for her.  It's truly appreciated!  Thanks for visiting here today...take care!:-))

  3. The two of you are a handsome couple!
My interest in Amish history started after I watched the movie "Witness" with Harrison Ford. ( I know; it sounds maybe a bit funny..)

There is something in their way of life that really speaks to me. ( Is this english?)
I love love love these pictures; thank you so much for a little peek in Amish country. And it's good to read you had a good time. And that your mum is on the mend; although there is a long way to go....
    Take care; hugs!
