Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

How are you doing on this fine November day?  It's only in the 40's here and a bit windy, but the sun is shining!  I'd like to share with you a card I made for a friend's December birthday.  The flower image is from Altenew.  The die cut circles are from Pink Fresh and the gorgeous design paper is from Paper Rose.  It was an easy card to assemble.  Just some coloring with copics and die cutting.  A bow and punched tiny circles for the center of the flowers(mail friendly) to finish the card.

I had a wonderful birthday weekend.  And, I thank all who sent beautiful birthday cards and birthday wishes.  We ate out at a Mexican restaurant on the first night to celebrate two birthdays.  We celebrated our son's boss's late birthday, too.  Of course, they had to put the big Mexican hat on me and sing happy birthday to me.  At this restaurant, they have the tradition of smearing whip cream on the birthday person's face.  I was quite firm in saying NO whip cream on the face, lol!  They did it to my son last year and he took it all in stride.  The next night it was just the family and we went to a nice restaurant with delicious food.  We came back home and played cards.  The Uno game lasted an hour and a half that was quite long, but I ended up the winner!  It was a lot of fun!

How are you all coming along on your Christmas cards?  I do have some made and need to count them to see how many I have.  I'm sure that I have many more to do.  I'm looking forward to seeing your creations!

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a great rest of the week!

Hugs!

  1. Your card is great. I love that deep red. I am glad you managed to avoid the whipped cream on your face. Doesn't sound like much fun to me. I am also glad that you enjoyed such a good birthday. I am reducing the number of Christmas cards I send this year, so I hope I am on track, but not at all sure xx

  2. This is simply a gorgeous card with those red flowers and that beautiful paper that matches perfectly. I'm so glad you had a fun birthday - even if it was without whipped cream! Have a great fall day - it's cold, windy, and sunny here in PA today as well.

  3. Love your design Maria (need this circle die)! Happy belated birthday - the whipped cream doesn't sound like much fun to me either! I thought I had enough cards but turns out I needed more so did another 8 last week - just slightly modified versions of two I'd made earlier in the year! I'll probably still need some more though, but I've been working on a different project this week and last (still have time don't I says she in a panicked voice)!
    Hugs, Kate!
