Happy Birthday!

Hello Friends!

I hope you had a Merry Christmas!  And, I wish for you a new year filled with many blessings!

We had a wonderful Christmas even though I was sick with bronchitis a week before, but by Christmas I was feeling much better.  Also, It was a difficult month grieving with friends.  I had three friends who lost their husbands this month.  Two were expected and one was unexpected.  I am definitely ready for this month to be over and for the new year to ring in some peace and better times!

Anyways, I did receive some new Christmas craft goodies and started on the above darling vintage snowman from Honey Bee for a friend's birthday next month!  I had to place a birthday candle in his hand to help celebrate her birthday!  The background certainly looks like the one we are experiencing here today.  Yesterday, it was in the 60's and now today it is in the 20's with snow...brrrr!

I'm entering this card over at NBUS Challenge .

I'm hoping the weather will be better by tomorrow for I want to go to Hobby Lobby to spend a gift card that hubby gave me for Christmas.  Maybe hubby will take me to lunch, too!

Ok, friends!  Take care and stay warm!  Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Hugs!

Merry Christmas!

Hi, Friends!

Merry Christmas to you!  Only six days until Christmas.  Where does the time go?  I believe I am ready.  Anything else that needs to be done can wait until after Christmas.  I sent the above card to my niece.  I do love the angel die from Papertrey Ink.  The panel behind the angel was made using a die from Emily Moore Designs.  I used distress ink for the background and added tiny stars to finish the card.

I've been busy with Christmas celebrations with family and church.  Last week I hosted a birthday/Christmas party for my sisters.  We had a lot of fun playing Christmas bingo!  Lots of food and fun, too!

We were missing my one sister, Christina, because she is in Florida for the winter.  I wish I was there.  Yesterday, it was in the 50's here and now today it's in the 20's with strong winds...brrrr!  She said that it's supposed to reach 80 there in Florida today.  Yep, I wish I was there!

Ok, my friends that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  May you have a wonderful blessed Christmas!  Take care!

Crochet Projects!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!  Brrrr it's cold here, but I'm working on more crochet projects to keep me busy and warm by the fireplace!  There is a light snow falling and it's very pretty!  Maybe we will have snow for Christmas this year.  It doesn't happen too often, but one can only hope!

I'd like to share with you another crocheted pumpkin that I made as seen above.  I finished it up after I already packed up all the fall decorations.  I didn't have much time to enjoy it and placed it on the counter for a photo before packing it away until next year.  I used the wheat stitch pattern for the pumpkin.  I'm hooked on this pattern and made another project that you will see below.

Next up...

The Christmas bulb seen above came together quickly.  It is very easy and fun to do!  I used a clear Christmas bulb and gathered the top and bottom around the bulb.  I glued on the holly and berries and added a silver string to hang the bulb.  It's lovely in real life to see the sparkly yarn!

Ok, that's all for now.  I hope you have a wonderful day and stay warm!  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care!

Happy Birthday!

Hello there!

I hope you all here in the USA had a wonderful blessed Thanksgiving!  We went to our son's and had a great dinner.  He does the Thanksgiving meal and we do the Christmas meal.  We managed to fight the crowds on Black Friday shopping.  It really seemed to be more crowded this year.  My left hip felt it and I was happy when we were done!  I'm afraid I'm going to have to have the left hip done some time this year.  I was really hoping I wouldn't have to have it for quite awhile.  I was lucky at one store and got a free charm when they pulled out my son's friend's name for a drawing.  And, my son found a good sale on a suit jacket for himself.

The above card was made for a former sweet coworker.  The card was made using a Simon Says cardinal die.  The bow and greenery is from Spellbinder's.  The sentiment is from Honey Bee.  I only embossed the lower portion of the panel with a folder from Spellbinder's.

We were supposed to get 3-5 inches of snow over the weekend, but we only got a dusting of snow.  We now are due to get 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow night.  Maybe it will only be a dusting of snow once again.(fingers crossed)  I like snow, but only at Christmas!

Ok, well off to see your lovely creations on your blogs!  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care!

Hugs!
