Happy Graduation!

Hi, Friends!

I hope all is well with you on this fine Friday morning!  We are having up and down weather here in this part of the country.  Today we are to hit the 90's, whew!  And, by Sunday we are to only be in the 60's.  I think Mother Nature can't make up her mind, lol!  Anyways, I have a card to share with you that I made for my great niece.

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with a frame from MFT.  The graduation gown die is from SSS.  The happy script die is from Mama Elephant and the graduation sentiment is from Avery Elle.  

Not much else is happening around here.  We have been busy with yard work.  I have most of my geraniums planted in pots around the house.  My lilacs have finally bloomed and my yellow iris flowers will bloom soon.

Dies R Us Challenge, May 15, 2022 (Anything Goes!)

Hi, Friends!

For the second challenge of the month, the theme continues as Anything Goes!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate at the Dies R Us Challenge!  

Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for my niece.  I started with a white card base and used a Tim Holtz stencil for the background.  The sweet cake and balloon images are from Paper Sweeties, which were embossed in gold.  I used copic markers to color the images.  The frame is from IO.  A birthday sentiment from a Sue Wilson die was placed over the cake.  A pearl cotton bow was added to the cake to finish the card.

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts. 

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday!  I was spoiled and had a wonderful weekend!  I hope you did, too!  I'd like to share with you a card that I made for a friend's birthday.  A very feminine card with roses.  I can hardly wait until my roses bloom, which will be in about another month.  We will be having lovely weather this week.  My hubby is out mowing the lawn right now.  We've had a lot of rain and chilly weather, so it is such a welcome change to have better weather!  I'm entering this card over at Simon Says.  

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with paper from Park Lane.  The rose die is from Elizabeth Craft Design.  The scalloped card panel was made using a die from Mama Elephant.  The sentiment is from PI.  Pearls were added for the finishing touch.

Today I am sharing a shaker anniversary card!  It's been awhile since I made a shaker card and forgot how frustrating it can be at times.  I shook and shook and tried to get a sequin off of the pink heart.  I finally was able to move the silver sequin off of it, lol!

For my card, I started with a pink card base and paired it with floral paper that was die cut using a Lawn Fawn die.  The white frame is the same die, but I just cut off the scalloped edge.  The bird die is from IO.  The banner is from Lawn Fawn, also.  The sequin mix is from Paper Sweeties and Studio Katia.  I am going to save this card for my sis and her husband who has an anniversary in July.
