Paper Sweeties March Release Party!

Hi Friends!

Today is Paper Sweeties Release Party!  You are now able to purchase those wonderful *new* stamps!  I made a card yesterday featuring the sweet little chick as seen above.  Well, that darling little chickie was calling my name, so I couldn't resist making another card stamping the image once again!

I started with a white card base and layered with pink and patterned paper, which I embossed.  It was then sprayed with gold color shine.  I stamped up the wagon from the stamp set Sweeties Wagon and added glitter.  The eggs, flowers, banner, and sentiments are from the new stamp set Wagon Add-on bloom &grow.  The ribbon is Vintage Winter White.  And, the sequins are Frosting.  Please see below for a list of the *new* stamps and dies.

Here is the list of my fellow team members.  Hop along and have fun!

Paper Sweeties March Release Sneak Peaks!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties March Release Sneak Peaks!

You will be surprised by the awesome designs that Debbie has come up with for this month!  Isn't it exciting to look forward to spring weather and Easter just around the corner...yeah!

For my Easter card today, I dressed up Jake in the adorable bunny costume from the stamp set Bunny Hugs and Kisses.  I colored Jake, costume, carrot, basket and eggs with copics.  Glitter was added for interest.  Border punch is from Fiskars and candy dots from SU.  Little pom poms and twine to finish off his costume.  And, a pink silk bow for the final touch.  Jake's all ready for Easter!  How about you?  Have you gotten any of your Easter decorations out yet?

Here's the hop list of the other design team members.  Take a look and swoon over their creations.  You won't be disappointed!

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Hugs,
Maria

Copic Colored Images...

Hi, Friends!

Just popping in quick to show you some copic colored images from the classes I took last weekend.  Lori Craig taught the class in Columbus, Ohio.  And, she did a fabulous job!  She is so patient and kind!  I was on cloud nine after I finished the class!

We did a couple of bear images and I really enjoyed coloring those little bears.  I have a couple bear stamps, so I'll have to get them out and make some baby cards.  The focus was to keep in mind where the light source is and shade accordingly with your colors.  So, you can see the right side of the face on the girl bear is much lighter where the light is shining on her.

We practiced on trees with spherical and cone shape.  The idea was to follow the shape with the shading.

Hair coloring technique was taught.  I do like the first hair sample.  The second sample with black hair is OK, but I feel I need more practice.  Practice makes perfect, right?:-)

You still with me?  The last copic image I colored is of the Polynesian girl.  Hair and skin with shading was done on this lovely image with several markers.  You can notice the shading on the right side of the face where there is less light.  Also, the shading for the nose and eye lids.  I was quite pleased how she turned out....

Thank you for viewing my copic colored images today!
It was so well worth taking the class!  I learned a lot about copic coloring and design!  Now I can't wait to receive more copic markers that I recently purchased...hehehe!

Copic markers used for the Polynesian girl:

Skin:  E00, E02, E11, E13, E04, BV000
Lips:  R21, R24, R29, R59
Eyes:  B00, B02
Flower:  R81, R83, R85, R59
