Make a Wish...
Hi there!
Happy Monday to you! Hope you're having a good start of the week! I needed to get a birthday card made for a co-worker, so I saw this fun sketch over at Paper Players.
Here is the sketch we were to follow...
I love red and aqua together and the fun designs from the Fresh Prints paper stack from SU! Everything on the card is from SU except for the red glitter heart and white pearl cotton. The stamp set I used is Perfect Pennants and the ink is Real Red.
Ok, I need to get back to cleaning my craft room. Whew, what a job, but someone has to do it...lol! Take care and thanks for dropping by!
Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties February Designer Spotlight!
Hi Friends!
I'd like to share with you today my project I made for Paper Sweeties. Each month Debbie highlights one of the designers on the Paper Sweeties team. And, this month is my month to be in the spotlight...how fun! I know it's past Valentine's Day, but I decided to go with a heart theme in reds and pinks...my favorite colors! And, I wanted to decorate this box to store lots of wonderful Paper Sweeties bits and bobs such as ribbon, twine, sequins and straws!
I started with a heart shaped box and painted it with white and then pink. Here is a side view of the heart box....
An inside view of all the Paper Sweeties *yummy* goodies of seam binding ribbon, sequins, baker's twine and straws!
A closer view of the lid...
The lid of the box was covered in paper and then with a scalloped felt heart. Pink doilies were placed with white pom pom trim. A die cut frame with vellum and glitter applied behind Emma, Sophie, and Abigail and coordinating dies. They were colored with copics and paper pieced. Emma's little outfit is from the stamp set Live Love Grow and her shoes from Enjoy Your Day. Sophie's dress and shoes are from the stamp set You Are Special. Abigail's dress and shoes are from the stamp set Enjoy Your Day. The little bird is from the set Home Tweet Home And, the sentiment is from the set Live Love Grow. The bow was made using Pink Bubblegum seam binding ribbon.
I just wish you could see this box in person with all the glitter and shine! I really enjoyed making it! Debbie designs the sweetest stamps and has lots of added *new* pretty little things in her shop. Won't you stop over and take a peek? I'm sure you'll have lots of fun shopping! Thanks so much for dropping by today!
Hugs,
Maria

Welcome to the Baby Shower Hop for Jinny!

The designers of Paper Sweeties would like you to enjoy this hop in honor of Jinny and sweet little Kaden. Congratulations to you Jinny and family on your new little blessing! Please go here for more details of Jinny and darling Kaden!
And, here is the project that I created...
I started with a Primitive Cream card base and lightly sponged the background in blue distress ink. The clouds are from Paper Sweeties stamp set Sending Springtime. The baker's twine and striped straws are new bits and bobs in the Paper Sweeties Shop! I love the *new* baker's twine and *new* fun straws that add great dimension! The die used for the grass is Sweet Cuts-Thanks Snow Much. The alphas used to spell Kaden's name is from the set Fancy Monograms. The sentiment was made using the Occasions set. I cut apart the sweet treats sentiment and hello baby sentiment for sweet baby. And, the little bird is from the set Home Tweet Home. Gems added for the final touch. I'm entering this card over at The Shabby Tea Room. The theme this week is baby shower party! Go on over and join in on the fun!
So, friends, I hope that you hop along and view all the wonderful projects that the Paper Sweeties team has created in honor of Jinny and Kaden! And, here is the list...

Live Love Blossom...
Hi there!
Happy Monday to you! I hope your week is off to a good start! I noted a challenge with quilting as the theme over at Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge. I couldn't resist for I used to quilt many years ago. Maybe some day I'll get back to it. But, in the meantime, I made a card using my hexagon punch.
And, here is my card...
I started with a white card base and layered with pink and aqua papers from Echo Park. I used my hexagon punch from SU to make a flower. The adhesive badge was in my stash I cannot remember the company. The little rosette stickers are from Paper Studio. The sentiment is from Paper Sweeties...Welcome Spring.
Well, that's it for me today. I hope all is well in your world. Thanks so much for dropping by!
Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties February Release Rewind!
Welcome back, friends!
Today is the day to rewind a bit and highlight some previous released stamps. Debbie has designed several stamp sets with gorgeous frames. The polka dot frame you see above comes from the stamp set Beautiful. I've used this frame before and love it!
Here is another card that I've used it with....
And, the sentiment on the first card is from the stamp set Occasions. I couldn't believe I didn't have that stamp set in my Paper Sweeties collection, so I ordered it recently. I'm sure I'll be using it for many different occasions. The poinsettia die used on the first card is from Spellbinder's. The border punch is from Martha Stewart. And the ink I used is Tempting Turquoise and Real Red from SU.
Ok, friends, don't forget the challenge going on this month. You have until the end of February. I'd love to see you play along! The winner receives a $20 gift certificate and an invite to be guest designer for the following month!

Paper Sweeties February Release Party!
Hi there!
Welcome to the February Release Party for Paper Sweeties!
Today I'm sharing with you a card I made using the new Sweet Cuts-Tea For Two die! How wonderful that the tea pot die is now available! It coordinates with the tea pot stamp from the stamp set Tea For Two. And, the sentiment is from the stamp set Join Me For Tea. Lots of pink with trims on this card. A girly girl card, which makes me smile!
I started the card with a white card base and added Echo Park papers. I sewed around the edges and added pearls. A cloth doily was placed. The tea pot image was stamped with pearls added. A pretty button added on the lid. Pom pom trim and ruffled trim along the bottom of the card. And, for the top of the card, the light pink ribbon(Pink Bubblegum) is also from Paper Sweeties. White pearl cotton tied for the final touch.
So, today is the day to buy those awesome *new* stamp sets and tea pot die! I can't wait to see what you create with them!

Paper Sweeties February Release Countdown!
Hi Friends!
Happy Valentine's Day to you! Wishing you lots of hugs and kisses from your loved ones today!
Today is Release Countdown and I'd like to share with you a card I made for inspiration. Just look at those darling little birds perched on their houses! Debbie designed those beauties for this month's stamp set called *Welcome Spring*! If you love birds, you will want to purchase this stamp set, which will be available tomorrow!
All the stamped images with birds, tree limb, hanging hearts, and sentiment come with the set. You will have to check it out for a tree, frame, little male bird, and several sentiments also are included...how fun!
I colored the images with copics and used a glitter pen around the hearts. Pearls and a satin red bow to finish off the card.
For some wonderful inspiration please hop and leave some love on the other team member's blogs. Here's the list...

Paper Sweeties February Release Sneak Peeks!
Hi there!
Today I'd like to share with you a card highlighting the new stamp set from Paper Sweeties, *Home Sweet Home*! It will be available for purchase on 2-15-13. Aren't those houses fabulous? There are so many possibilities with this sweet stamp set!
I wanted to make a cozy spring scene so I started with a brown card base and embossed it with a large tree. The leaves were fussy cut and applied. The houses, fence, tree, sentiment, and tiny flower are all from the new stamp set. The grass was made using the die, Sweet Cuts-Thanks Snow Much. I covered the wooden heart with paper and tied a bow with twine to finish off my card.
Have fun and view some awesome inspiration from the other team members...
