Celebrating You...

Hi there!

Hope you're having a wonderful day!  I'm just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for Seize The Birthday challenge.  We are to make a birthday card and for the extra topping to add a background.  And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and stamped the circles from Sweet 'n Sassy in distress inks of Mermaid Lagoon and Abandoned Coral.  The next background was made using a stencil from Wendy Vecchi.  The die cut behind the bird is from Reverse Confetti.  The bird from SU was colored with copics and fussy cut.  The sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy.  A tiny bow made with pearl cotton to finish off the card.

I'm trying to break a bad habit that I have of not finishing the inside of the card until I need to mail it.  Do you do that, too?  Or, is it just me?:-)  Anyways, time to finish the inside of the card and take a peek to see if my tulips are up yet.  They seem to be taking forever!  Well, that's all for now.  Take care and have an awesome day!

Hugs,
Maria

  6. What a beautiful card Maria! I love the colours you have chosen, the background is fab and the bird is just so lovely! You're not the only one who delays in finishing the inside of a card - I have got 8 cards at the minute on my desk that need an 'inside'! Must finish them before starting another.......!!!

  9. Maria, your card is so beautiful! I love the precious bird and your layering is gorgeous. I absolutely adore the background you made! The colors are so pretty... I need Mermaid Lagoon! This is such a darling card, sure to be treasured by the recipient. :o) As for interiors, I typically do them immediately since I use them as I create them. If I had any time of a 'stash' box, I fear I'd wait until the last minute, though! :/ (I apologize for the slight delay, friend.. I've not been feeling so well!) Have a beautiful day!

    Hugs and blessings,
    Karen

  14. Definitely the same - never finish the inside! I used to but fell out of habit. This is a terrific card - great colours, colouring and wonderful design. Thanks for playing along with Seize the Birthday.
