Celebrating!
"Lots of Leaves"
Hi, there!
TGIF! The weather turned cold and rainy here. In the beginning of the week it was near 80. Today it was in the low 50's...big change! And, I certainly felt it in my sinuses and head with a migraine. But, I wanted to get out my winter clothes and put away the summer ones. By the afternoon I felt much better and decided to make a couple cards. So, I decided to enter the below card over at Seize the Birthday. And, here is my card...
For my card, I started with a cream card base and paired it with a leaf embossed panel. The die cut leaves from TE were water colored with distress inks. I decided I wanted them to be a little more vibrant, so I colored them with copics. The sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy. The dots are from Doodlebug and twine from PTI to finish the card. This card will be going to my nephew who has the same birthday as me next month. I often give a handmade card and my husband chooses a bought funny card, which are the ones that say.... you're so old...etc...lol!
Well, that's all for now! Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today! Take care and have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Maria

Wishing you the Happiest Season!
Hi, there!
It's been a week since I've been here. The week has been full of things to do. I did some fall cleaning and had an extra chore of going to the laundromat. I'm keeping fingers crossed and praying that my washer gets repaired on Tuesday! I hope they don't back up the repair date again! We even had to figure out how to get a washer unlocked that was full with wet clothes! Thank goodness for facebook for my plea of help to friends and family!:-) I've been two weeks without a washer...grrr. Anyways, I'm here to talk about my card and not my washer woes.
*Edit*...Well, repair man came and went...more bad news. He has to order a part. He's on vacation next week and he's not sure if someone will cover for him. Tentative date is the 24th for washer. My washer woes are not over...sigh. It's not the end of the world, but it's getting to be so frustrating...grrrr!
I'm entering the above card over at The Male Room where the challenge is leaves/ trees. I purchased the wonderful stamp set that Kay Miller designed from Papertrey Ink! I just love the darling fox! The leaves are so pretty, too! I colored everything with copics. The stitched frame is from MFT. Twine from PTI and dots from Doodlebug to finish the card! Ok, friends! That's all for now.
My thoughts and prayers are going out to those affected by Hurricane Matthew on the east coast! Please stay safe and take care!
Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!
Hugs,
Maria
