A sunny hello!

Hi, there!  I hope you are having a wonderful holiday weekend!  We had a couple busy days here with yard work, cooking a meal for a friend who broke her arm, and going to the funeral home.  A dear sweet lady who I used to bowl with passed away recently.  This Covid crisis makes it more sad that we weren't able to visit friends and family in the nursing homes.  Just a couple weeks ago they opened up and allowed to visit, but appointments had to be made and some weren't allowed to visit as in this case.  Anyways, I'm happy for the times I did visit Barb and made her cards.  She was like a mother to me and two other gals on our bowling team.  She will be dearly missed.

On a lighter note, I am sharing a card that I made for my son.  I made a couple more and sent them to a few friends to help brighten their day.  I'm entering this card over at...NBUS Challenge.

For my card, I started with a white card base and die cut the rainbow and clouds from a Catherine Pooler die.  The sun from Paper Sweeties was die cut and colored with copics.  It was fun and easy peasy to make!

Sending out a sunny hello and sunshine to all of you, my friends!!  I hope you are doing well and have a great week!!

Hugs!

  6. This is just sunshine inside the house! So pretty, bright and cheerful. I love the inside and outside. I know what you mean about visiting. Our cousin just passed and we could not go to the funeral. It was live streamed, how sad is that.

  7. I'm sorry to learn about Barb, Maria. These are really hard times for our very senior friends, many of whom are completely isolated. It's terrifying and depressing for them. It sounds like she was a blessing in your life and you will never forget her. Your rainbow card is so colorful and uplifting! Your son and friends will be very cheered when they see it! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell
