Hi, Friends!
I just LOVE this new butterfly die from Alex Syberia! I'll be using it as a fall birthday card. I didn't put a sentiment on the front of the card for I wanted the butterfly to shine. I used distress inks for the background, butterfly, and flowers. The background panel was made using a die from The Greetery.
I'm entering this card over at NBUS Challenge.
I started with a new crochet project with making a pumpkin. I made one small pumpkin and it was a practice one, which turned out a little wonky, but still cute. The one seen below is much better. The pattern is using the wheat stitch and single crochet. The stem is a cinnamon stick and a bow with twine to finish the pumpkin. I'm already making another one. It's so addicting!
Ok, friends, that's all for now. Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today! Have a great rest of the week, take care!
Hugs!
Gorgeous butterfly card, that is a great die and like the darling pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous fall projects! The butterfly is beautiful. Well done on the crochet pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteI haven't crocheted in years and never made anything like your pumpkin--love it! The butterfly is gorgeous and love how you used it!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a striking design, Maria and the butterfly is so handsome I can understand why you wanted it to shine without adornment. The crochet pumpkin is lovely, and how clever to use the cinnamon stick as a stem.
ReplyDeleteHope you are well,
Hugs,
