Hi Friends!
Welcome back! I've been working on some projects that I'll be posting soon. But, in the meantime, I'd like to share with you a few photos of flowers, etc. My hostas and geraniums are growing very well with all the rain we've had this summer.
Black Eyed Susans are beautiful!
Dahlias
We had a heavy dew one morning and noted these awesome spider webs!
We even have our own privacy fence in our back yard with the very tall corn! My DH loves the natural privacy fence, but I don't really care for it...lol! The corn this year is so delicious! We had some last night for dinner....yum! Here is a photo of my DH and our dog, Shadow...
Beautiful flowers, Maria. The rain just beat all the blooms off my geraniums. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I thought those zinnias were dahlias. I just can't grow zinnias and I love them so much. The weather here is sooooooo humid and they stay covered in powdery mildew. I just can't fight it.
What a corn crop. Good eatin'.
Great photos of flowers, garden, hubby, and dog. Thanks for sharing.
Isn't it beautiful to look out at such pretty flowers?!! While the spider webs have a delicate beauty to them, they make my blood run cold! lol
ReplyDeleteLucky you, growing your own corn! I will bet it tastes so good. Love seeing your flowers. I believe the white and cherry colored ones are dahlias. They are gorgeous! And the spider webs are breathtaking. Nature is amazing, isn't it? With the dew drops on there, they look like they're covered in jewels. Thank you for sharing these pics!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous, Maria! I can't choose between the black eyed susans or the dahlias! Thanks for letting us peek into your garden!
ReplyDeleteYour yard is filled with such beautiful flowers! And I love the natural privacy fence. How cool you can grow sweet corn like that. The deer eat everything around here, so there's no sense in trying. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have such a lovely yard and what a beautiful picture of the spider web! I am not a fan of spiders, but their webs are very neat :)
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Beautiful photos Maria! :) TFS

Hello, Maria :). Love your beautiful garden, pretty flowers!. And the webs are totally gorgeous. How wonderful to know that you live in Ohio, just like my friend Dawn, and they keep a vege garden too :). Thanks for sharing the bounty from your garden with us at OBW!:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these photos...so nice!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty flowers and tall corn! Wow! I can't grow corn in my yard as I just don't get enough sun! I bet it was yummy. Love the photo of your DH and Shadow too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and your garden is gorgeous. I love corn fields right up until the moment one of those damn black bugs get in my eyes or mouth!!

Beautiful pictures of your yard! Thanks for sharing. We have a German Shepard also. Shadow is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWOW Maria I love your great looking flowers!! And that corn, YUM!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo many great pics of your beautiful yard, Maria! I so wish I could get geraniums to grow here. They're one of my favorites! We get bud worms every year I try :(, and I spray them until I'm blue in the face, but they just keep coming back. I've never had much luck with corn, either. My soil must not have the right nutrients.
ReplyDeleteIt's winter in SA at the moment, but your lovely flowers have put me in the mood for spring and summer, Maria!! My dh is a keen gardener and there is nothing better than enjoying something to eat form your own garden - I can just imagine how nice the corn must have been!
