The Sky's the Limit!

Hi there!

Happy Monday to you!  I hope that you had a wonderful weekend!  We had a great weekend despite all the rain!  I'm so happy that my sister's cottage was not damaged for we are to get together for her birthday and another sister's birthday on July 11th at her cottage.  Lots of flooding with cars being abandoned and some businesses damaged due to all the rain we had over the weekend.  But, I celebrated by best friend's birthday with her and had a grad party that we attended Saturday that brought lots of fun!

Anyways, my friend, Greta, is the June guest designer over at the Male Room!  They have a fun challenge going on right now.  I wanted to make a card for my son since he just started a new job.  And, here is my card...

I started with a white card base and punched a circle on the white panel.  The clouds, sun and sequins are from Paper Sweeties.  The waves were made using an EK punch and a white gel pen was used for interest.  The plane is from Close to My Heart and the sentiment is from SU.

Well, that's it for now.  Hope all is going smoothly in your part of the world.  Take care!  Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Hugs,
Maria

  1. Maria, I'm so happy to hear your sister's cottage was not damaged... so heartbreaking that the rain caused so much trouble. :( It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend though, for which I am glad! Your card for your son is amazing! I love the design! All of the elements nestled together in the sky look fantastic. He will treasure this! Lovely work as always, my friend! Have a wonderful day. :o)

    Hugs and blessings,
    Karen

  9. This is so fun Maria! I love your design and the shaker! So sorry to hear about the flooding/rain. Glad your sisters cottage is okay. I lost a home to a flood once - it is a horrible thing to go through. I pray it stays dry for you and your family! We are in a drought here - super hot which is abnormal for the Seattle area and it has been this way since April. All of my shade plants are dieing in my garden....no shade to be had! But on the upside my roses are thrilled and blooming profusely with all of the sun and heat! There is always a silver lining! Hugs!!! :)
