Hi, Friends!
It's time once again for the Paper Sweeties Monthly Challenge! The winner of the challenge will receive a $25 gift certificate prize !
Can you believe it's October 1st? Time for the leaves to change into lovely colors and crisp cool mornings. Apple season that will bring the apple festival to town in a couple weeks. And, speaking of apples, I made an apple crisp dessert a couple days ago...yum. Yes, it's my favorite time of year! Here is my apple crisp recipe, if you are interested...
Apple Crisp:
10 c. apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 c. white sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. water
1 c. quick-cooking oats
1 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place apples in 9x13 pan. Mix the white sugar, flour, and cinnamon-sprinkle over the apples. Pour 1/2 c. water over all.
Combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and melted butter. Crumble evenly over the apple mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min. Top with whip cream or ice cream. Yum...enjoy!
Ah, but you are here to see my card, right?! And, I had lots of fun making this shaker tag card! I was inspired by the inspiration photo with the pumpkins and leaves. Without further delay...here is my card...
For my card I started with a blue card base and paired it with paper from Doodlebug. The shaker was made using the new Sweet Cuts-For You(available on 10-15) and previously released Sweet Cuts-Rectangle Scallop Frames. The scarecrow, pumpkins, and hay stack colored with copics are from the set Stand Add-on: Scarecrow. The sentiment is from the set Happy Fall Ya'll. The sequins are Creamsicle and Latte Coffee. Twine and ribbon Creamsicle to finish the card.
