Happy Easter!

Hi, Friends!

I thought I'd pop in quick to share with you an Easter card that I made using my zig markers.  I'm still new at water coloring and don't do it as often as my copic coloring.  I guess it's one of those things that you shy away from and stay with the familiar.  But, I'm happy with the results.  The image is from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The oval die is from Lil Inkers and the last die is from MFT.  A gold bow to finish the card.

Please forgive my photo quality.  My son updated the computer and forgot to put my photo editing program back on.  I fumbled best that I could and thought I'd manage, but to no avail.  But, all is well again for he put my photo editing back on.  I'm thankful for my techy son!

I'm entering this card over at Simon Says.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have a wonderful week!

Maria

Happy Easter!

Hi, there!

Just popping in to share with you a sweet Easter project that I made yesterday!  I was so inspired by Lori Hairston 's project over at Chouxchoux Paper Art that I just had to give it a try!  I'm entering my project over at Word Art Wednesday.  Here is a photo of her carrot treat box...

She has her lovely treat box in a basket filled with beautiful pastel Easter eggs!  Lori always has wonderful videos with easy instructions...so helpful!  What a lovely photo with the super sweet carrot treat box...love it!

Ok, now on to my treat box...

I downloaded the template given by Lori and enlarged it 185% on my copier.  I didn't have orange gingham paper, but did have yellow gingham paper.  I must admit I made more work for myself, but I was happy with the results.  Because I inked the yellow gingham paper with distress ink, I had messy orange fingers.  I thought handling the treat box would not be good for someone else either, so I applied mod podge onto the paper.  It gave it a nice shine and more sturdy, too.  I did line the back of the paper with orange card stock.  So, the inside has a great dark orange color.  Well, you are probably thinking just like me at this point why didn't I just use orange paper for the outside, too?  But, it's ok I'm happy with the end results.

The chick and egg is from Memory Box.  The grass die is from MFT.  The tulip is from Paper Sweeties and the sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy.  I covered the clothes pin and egg with washi tape.  Pom pom trim, ribbon, and button to finish my carrot treat box.  Here is a side view of my project...

Ok, well, that's all for now.  I had lots of fun making this carrot treat box.  If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help.  I'm sure Lori would, too.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a wonderful day!

Maria

Paper Sweeties March 2018-Blast from the past favorites!

Hi there!

And, welcome to Day #3 of Blast from the past with Paper Sweeties!  Debbie hopes to have a new release some time soon.  She has been very busy with her product shows and her new Bed and Breakfast!  In the meantime, we are creating with favorites from past releases.

Today I am highlighting a favorite of mine for spring, which is from the set  Live Love Grow!  It has several wonderful sentiments.  I stamped them on the lovely coral background and on the grass underneath the flower pot.  Abigail is greeting her friends sowing kindness and harvesting friendship!  The sentiments on the background are...bloom and make today beautiful!  And, here is my card...

For my shaker card, I started with a coral card base and paired it with patterned paper from Crate Paper.  Abigail was colored with copics.  Her outfit is from the set Live Love Grow.  The flower pot and sentiments is from the same set.  The shaker was made using Sweet Cuts-Circle Scallop Frames.  Sequins (Robin Egg) and (Blue Raspberry) were placed inside the shaker.  The bird is from the set Home Tweet Home, which is another favorite set of mine.  Cookie Dough sequins and seam binding ribbon (Bubble Gum) to finish the card.

Paper Sweeties March 2018-Blast from the past favorites!

Hi, there!

And, welcome to Paper Sweeties Blast from the past favorites Day 2!  We don't have a new release this month, but we are highlighting past favorites from previously released stamp/die sets!   I came up with a sweet Easter card with a darling lamb and pretty tulips!

Easter is right around the corner and we are celebrating a week early on the 25th with family.  Easter means spring is on the way and I can't wait!  Even though we haven't had a bad winter, I do welcome warmer temps and lots of sunshine!  And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base.  I paired it with orange and a water colored background using distress inks.  The lamb, tulips, and sentiment is from the set Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes!  The white fence was die cut using the set Sweet Cuts-Home Tweet Home.  Aqua twine and sequins Creamsicle to finish the card.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Take care!

Paper Sweeties March 2018-Blast from the past favorites!

Hi, there!

I'm here to share with you an Easter card with the most adorable bunny!  It is from a stamp set that was previously released.  Debbie is still very busy with her new Bed and Breakfast.  Hopefully, things will slow down for her soon!  So, we are highlighting favorites again and since Easter is right around the corner, I went with an Easter theme for my card.

Today, I am highlighting the stamp set Basket Add-on: Hoppy Easter.  Also, a die cut scallop border Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders.  And, here is my Easter card...

I started with a white card base and paired it with Echo Park papers.  The bunny was colored with copics.  Stamps and dies are listed as stated above.  Wink of Stella was applied to the bow, cheeks, and ears on the bunny.  Sequins (Bubblegum) and twine were placed to finish the card.

On the first two cards the stamps and dies are from MFT.  And, on the last card the stamp is from Cas-ual Fridays.  The background was made using distress inks.

We will probably go out for dinner and have shepherd's pie or corn beef and cabbage...yum!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

Just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for my husband's birthday.  He's a huge Ohio State fan...anything with Ohio State sports, but especially the football team!  We are lucky to have Jillian Vance Design stamp/die company here in Ohio where the stamps and dies came from to make the birthday card!

Next up, is a card that my friend, Nancy, made for him.  Her husband, Mike, used to work with my husband, Randy, and when we get together they love to talk Ohio State sports!  We received a birthday card that Nancy made.  And, here it is...

Also, I'd like to share with you a few photos of my amazing talented  great niece, Miranda, who won 2nd place in a dance competition!

She's 16 year old and started ballet/dance just a couple years ago.  She absolutely loves it and it shows!  Oh, if only I could be half that flexible...sigh!

Well, thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  May you have a wonderful week!  Take good care!

Hi, Friends!

Today I'm revealing my planner pages for the month of March!  There isn't a new planner set for this month, but I've used many previously released sets.  I decided to go with a St. Patrick's theme since it will soon be St. Patrick's Day!  Madison is in her shamrock outfit ready to celebrate!

And, now a closer peek at my planner pages...

As I stated above, I have Madison  in her shamrock outfit...so cute!  The outfit is from the set Sweetie Pie.  The glittery shamrocks are stickers and an added shamrock button to complete her outfit.

I had lots of fun decorating my planner for March!
