Salt Fork mini vacation...

Hi, there!

I am back from our mini vacation from Salt Fork State Lodge in Ohio. We haven't been to the lodge since 2006. It's been way too long to visit this peaceful lovely area of Ohio. The big highlight is seeing the deer that come right up to the lodge. People do feed them, so they are used to coming up to the lodge. The above photo was taken while we were out hiking.

As soon as we got to our rooms in the evening last Wednesday we saw the deer.

You can see the happy smile on my face being back at Salt Fork!

I should have taken more photos. They had a very nice pool area. We enjoyed hiking,

kayaking, and swimming. They cleaned the pool area every two hours and gave fresh

towels. Everyone wore masks and did the proper precautions. The lodge wasn't very busy at all.

We checked out the camping area in case we decide to get back into camping, which is a nice area, too.

They had delicious food and excellent service! We hope to visit the lodge again

since we always have such a great time!

Needless to say, we had a busy week. We visited our son, Jeremy on Saturday before coming home.

The next day, two of my sisters celebrated their birthday, so we had a get-together at my sister's house.

We laughed and ate and had a wonderful time together!

Paper Sweeties August 2020-Release Rewind!

August Release Rewind! Today is the day when we combine the new with previously released stamp sets. Madison is sending berry sweet thoughts to a friend! The strawberry from a previously released set Homegrown pairs well with the new released set Berry!

Madison's outfit is from the set At the Beach. The background paper is from Photo Play. The pineapple, lemon, and berry sentiment are from the new set Berry The sending sweet thoughts sentiments are from the set Sending Sweet Thoughts. Sequins (Bubblegum), (Cookie Dough), and (Sugar Sprinkles) to finish the card.

Since, I redid the card several times, I saved the watermelon and tag and made another card.

You ever have one of those days? The afternoon went haywire. It seemed everything I touched I couldn't get to work. My camera went dead and needed a new memory card, the TV in my craft room didn't work, and my craft light went out. Anyways, my husband came home and saved the day, lol! After all that, I had to send myself some berry sweet thoughts and extra prayers!:-)

The watermelon are from the new set, also. The sentiment is from the set For You. The tag was die cut using Sweet Cuts-For You. Ribbon(Green Apple) Bubblegum and Sugar Sprinkles sequins to finish the card.

Paper Sweeties August, 2020-Release Party!

Today I'm sharing my card for the August Release Party! I made a birthday card for a friend using both of the new sets released today...Berry and So Sweet of You. I used the Berry set full of delicious fruit images! And, for the sentiments I used the set So Sweet of You.

For my card, I started with a white card base and black embossed the images. I used zig markers to water color the card. The oval scallop frame is from the set Sweet Cuts-Oval Scallop Frames. Nuvo Glitter Accents-Fresh Snowfall was used to place dots on the frame and the sunglasses.

For the inside of the card, more delicious fruit and the birthday sentiment!

Dies R Us Challenge August 15, 2020! (Baby it's Hot Outside(hot colors-reds, oranges, yellows)

It's time for another Dies R Us Challenge! And, the theme is (Baby it's Hot Outside)-hot colors-reds, oranges, and yellows! We ask that you use at least one die on your project. Come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate...enjoy creating! It's so fun to make a tropical card and dream all the problems of the world away. All I am wishing and praying for is people to love one another and be kind to one another.

I have lots of Lawn Fawn goodies on my card along with a couple other dies. I started with the Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Circle die and made a sunset background using DI of candied apple, spiced marmalade, and mustard yellow. The pineapple and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn, also. The tall leaves are from Sue Wilson and the tropical leaves are from Cherry Lynn. I made the water and sand. Twine and dots to finish the tropical card. Where would you like to be if there wasn't a pandemic going on? I think I would love to be in Hawaii....aloha!

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.

It will ship to both the US and Canada. Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different. Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Paper Sweeties August 2020-Release Sneak Peeks!

Today I'm sharing my card for the August Release Sneak Peeks! Yummy sweet treats are including in the stamp sets! The new sets are So Sweet of You and Berry! The new stamp sets are included in a kit, which will be available tomorrow! I love all flavors of ice cream, don't you? In fact, my first job and where I met my husband was at Dairy Del! We always talk about how a cone is made when we go out for ice cream, lol! Anyways, I had a fun time making this shaker card!

For my shaker card, I started with a white card base. The background was made using Doodlebug paper. The cones and ice cream bar are from the new set So Sweet of You. All images were colored with copics. The scallop frame is from the set Sweet Cuts-Square Scallop Frames. The sweet sentiment was die cut using Happy. The sequin mix are Bubblegum, Sugar Sprinkles, and Gold. Twine to finish the card.
