Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi, there!

I hope all is well your way, my friends!  Last week was a rough week for us here, but things seem to be going more smooth as the weekend ends.  We have a family member who is in need of prayer and also for a good friend of mine who recently had surgery.  I did manage to finish my Valentines and sent many off to friends and family.  I'm sharing one today that I made for one of my sisters.  She loves flamingos.  So, I thought ok, I think I'll incorporate a flamingo on her Valentine card.  I'm entering this card over at Simon Says.

The flamingo, sentiment, and heart stencil are from MFT.  The envelope was stamped with a heart from MFT, also.  Gems from Ink Road added for the final touch.  I hope my little sis likes her Valentine card.

Well, that's all for now.  It's very cold here in NW Ohio in the teens...brrr!  Sheila, our dog, doesn't mind the cold.  In fact, she doesn't like to get her little sweater on before she goes out, lol!  We have been gone a lot this week being quite busy for a family member and an appointment.  She didn't like us leaving again this morning for church.  We always hide a couple treats in her toys to keep her busy and entertained while we are away.  We came home and found that she got them out, but didn't eat them.  I guess she was on strike, lol!  But, she did eat them finally and I gave her some extra attention.  I believe she's back to normal once again!:-)

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by!  Take good care, my friends!

Hugs!

  1. So sorry your family member & friend are going through hard times, Maria. I know it's stressful & hope things improve. Poor Sheila--didn't understand why she was alone more than normal. Glad the extra attention worked--she is a cutie!

  4. I'm so sorry to hear about your family member and your good friend. I hope things are looking much better for both this week. The flamingo is so cute on your sister's Valentine. She will get a kick out of it. Poor Sheila, first it's so darn cold, then you leave her alone so much. We are having bone chilling cold here and Daisy has done her business right up against the house under the overhang rather than go out in the snow. She isn't outside more than 45 to 70 seconds!

  5. Love your card with the hearts behind your flamingo, a great idea with the hearts in the corner too. A Beautiful card, which I'm sure your sister will love. Sorry to hear about your family member and friend, a prayer is being said for them.

  6. I'm sorry you're going through difficult times with your friend and family member, but hopefully all will be peaceful and improve soon. Loving the flamingo valentine card - it's so perfect for one who loves them! Great stenciled hearts in the background too! Your dog is adorable and hiding treats in her toys is such a clever idea! She's probably feeling a little separation anxiety when you're away so often. I'm glad she's fine now. Stay warm! More snow is on the way for us here in SE PA tomorrow and Thursday and boy is it ever frigid outside!

Glad Sheila is back to her old self, too.

  8. What a wonderful flamingo Valentine for your sister! I know she will love that you made it especially for her. I will pray for your family member and your family. I am sorry that you are going through a rough patch just now. Sheila sounds like she had a personality! One time I was busy with both my mom and my daughter in the hospital at the same time. Our dog went on strike by deciding he couldn't use his back legs! He just scooted around with his front legs. I took him to the vet and he was fine! Never did it since then either - silly boy!
