Dies R Us Challenge October 15, 2021 (Anything Goes!)

Hello, Friends!  It's the 15th and time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is Anything Goes!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win!

I've made a few Halloween cards and posted them earlier with Halloween just around the corner, but today I have a fall card to share with you!  I've been patiently waiting for the dies to go along with this Lawn Fawn set.  And, it came in while away on vacation.  It was like Christmas coming back home and opening a few stamp sets and dies that I ordered.  Now to find the time to create!  I know that I'm retired, but with hubby being retired too, I feel I'm not able to create all afternoon like I used to.  Hubby gets antsy and wants to be out and about, which I can't blame him at all.  Also, our sweet dog, Sheila, went through another unfortunate surgery with cancer again on a mammary gland. So, she needed extra extra attention and care.  They think they got it all again and it was a different type of cancer.  I just hope and pray she's done with the cancer.

Anyways,  you are here to see my card...

I just love the darling scarecrow from Lawn Fawn.  I think he made friends with the crows, because they don't appear to be scared at all!  For the background I water colored the corn field and sky.  All images were colored with copics.  I did my best to create a flannel shirt with copics.  The buttons on his overalls were made with gold Nuvo drops.  I placed die cut corn stalks over the background to create depth.  The sentiments and die cut stitched labels are from Lawn Fawn, also.  Dots and twine to finish my fall card.
Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today.  Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)

When my hubby retired it sure put the halts on my paper crafting too, but somehow manage to fit it all in! Have a happy Halloween too!! Oh BTW, you might want to take the link for Dar off as she stepped down from the team!

  2. Your scarecrow is so sweet even the crows aren't afraid of him! I do love his flannel shirt and a great idea to use Nuvo drops for buttons. A pretty water colored background too, Maria.

  7. It truly is an A-maize-ing card, Maria. The little scarecrow is adorable as is the scene you created to showcase the lil guy :-) I hope that your pup is better soon and that the cancer is gone for good this time.
