I've been working on birthday and Valentine cards, so I have a couple of cards to share with you today. I thank you for all your well wishes regarding me and my family having Covid. I continue with a cough, but I am feeling much better.
First up, is a Valentine's Day card for my son. I thought this fun stamp set from Lawn Fawn was so cute! The postal frame and hearts are from Reverse Confetti. All stamps and dies are a new purchase. I'm entering this card over at NBUS Challenge.
Next up, is a card for my brother-in-law. He loves cars and trucks and I knew I wanted to use this new to me stamp/die set from Honey Bee. What a cool truck it is to use for many occasions. I tucked in a row of gifts in the back of the truck and personalized it with Don's name on the license plate. I used a silver gel pen for the mirrors, etc. and I sponged some black ink in places for interest.
Ok, that's all for now. I hope you're having a great day and staying warm!
We had some trouble with our furnace. What a time for it to go on the blink when it's frigid outside. But, we are able to reset it and we have two electric heaters to keep warm. Since there is a chip shortage, it would take a very long time for repair, so we opted to get a new one. It will be here next Thursday and it was about time to get a new one anyways. I'm just thankful that it will be resolved soon.
Take care, hugs!!
Thanks for the smile on the first card with the fun sentiment. Another fun and thoughtful second card too and both are creative and fabulous Maria x. Glad you are on the mend from Covid but sorry to hear about the furnace x. Sending warm hugs x.ReplyDelete
I love the Lawn Fawn cerealsly card. I have that stamp too because of the pun. Great truck image and so versatile. I am so glad you are so much better and hope the cough goes away soon. I replaced my furnace this fall and I can't believe how quiet it is compared to my old one.ReplyDelete
Sorry that you and your family have been dealing with Covid, but glad you are feeling better. Sending hugs.ReplyDelete
These are fantastic. The first one is so adorable and fun. I have the HB truck set and die and it’s a great one.
I'm happy to know you and your family are recovering from Covid and feeling better. What a cute pair of cards! I just love that punny sentiment on the first card, and that truck is loads of fun too! Keep crafting and stay warm!!ReplyDelete
Both cards are just wonderful Maria, fun too. Sorry to hear about your breakdown, why can't things like that happen in the Summer? hahaha, so glad it will be resolved soon for you.ReplyDelete
Lots of lovely red on these great cards!ReplyDelete
Your Valentine and birthday designs are so fun, Maria! Your son and BIL will love them! I'm glad you are able to get a new furnace and I'm glad you are feeling better. Hope the lingering cough is gone soon, too. Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, DarnellReplyDelete
Super cards Maria! I love the truck with the gifts and I'm sure your BIL will too! Sorry about your furnace... I have been waiting since last year for my fire to be sorted... Stay warm any way you can sweetieReplyDelete
So glad you're feeling better & hope all goes well with the new furnace. Air conditioners go out in the summer & furnaces go out in the winter--a rule, I think--haha! Such a fun card for your son & the truck card is absolutely amazing! Take care, GretaReplyDelete
