Paper Sweeties January 2022 New Product Sneak Peeks!

Hello Friends!

It's been quite awhile since I've updated.  Lately, I had to take it easy for a couple of reasons.  Shortly after Christmas my sister-in-law, Sylvia, passed away from Covid.  My two nieces and nephew are now without a mother and a father.  My brother, John passed away eight years ago.  My nieces and nephew are strong and will get through it with help from God, family, and friends.

My sister and her husband came down with Covid recently.  My sisters and I got together on January 7th.  I'm pretty sure that I got Covid, also.  We all were vaccinated.  I think I'm over the worst of it.  I'm hoping and praying that this is the last Covid surge!  Anyways, on a happier note, I do have a card to share with you today.

It's a new release month for Paper Sweeties with the 1st Quarter 2022 Sweet Kit!  It coordinates with the Build a Gnome set.  The new stamp/die set is Gnome Add-on: Winter!  We haven't had much snow yet around here, but this little gnome guy is enjoying a sled ride with all the snow in his little world!

I started with a white card base and paired it with Doodlebug paper.  The sled and snowballs are from the set Wagon Add-on:  Snowballs for Sale.  Twine added for interest along with Nuvo Glitter Accents for the snow.

I do hope we get some snow for kids to enjoy.  We've only had about 1-2 inches.  I remember sledding and ice skating when younger.  We bought new skates for our son this Christmas.  He used to play on a rec league.  So, I hope he enjoys skating again.   It's so convenient for him since he has a rink only about five minutes from his house.

  3. Oh Maria, I'm so sorry for you and your family. That is such sad news about your sister in law and the children. What a hard thing for them to go through. I hate that you had Covid but so glad you are recovered. Your card is so cute. Gnomes are adorable and seeing him on his sled is a fun winter scene with a supply of snowballs at the ready. I hope your son gets to do some skating soon. We haven't had snow but we've had several cold spells. I'm back to staying in until the numbers start going down again.

  4. Maria, I am so sorry to hear about your sister-in-law losing her life to this horrid virus. Was she vaccinated? I'm sorry it has also infected other members of your family, and you, and I hope everyone soon fully recovers.

In happy news, your card is fun and fantastic! And you've left me with a smile from looking at your handsome son with his shiny new skates! Great gift for him! My sister in Iowa says they might get 10 inches of snow today so it might be heading your way! Huge hugs, Darnell

  7. So sad to hear that you & your family have been hit with Covid. My deepest sympathies at loosing your sister-in-law, Maria. I'm happy to hear you're feeling better. We're not seeing family since they work outside the home & can't be sure they won't get a breakthrough case. We're mostly doing curbside pick-up & only go inside a building if it isn't crowded. No haircuts again until things improve. Bet your son is really hoping for some cold weather to try out his new skates! Your card is adorable, as always! Love that snowflake paper!

  8. I am so sorry for the loss your family has had to endure with this awful virus! I do hope everyone (including you) recovers quickly from your illness and feels well again soon! That's a really cute card, and perfect for winter. Your son looks very happy with his new skates too, what a fun gift for him! We're bracing for a winter storm, and hope you stay warm and safe too!
