Dies R Us Challenge August 15, 2022!(Summer)

Hi, Friends!

For the second challenge of the month, the theme continues as Summer! We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells! Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate at the Dies R Us Challenge!

I have another summer card for DRU this month, but with a darling flamingo pair from Lawn Fawn. The frame and trees were die cut using dies from Lawn Fawn, also. The tropical leaves are from Cheery Lynn Designs.

For my card, I started with a white card base and added the frame. The background sky was made using several distress inks of kitsch flamingo, wilted violet, spiced marmalade, mustard, and broken china. The images were colored with copics. White gel ink and hand drawn birds for interest.

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.

It will ship to both the US and Canada. Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different. Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

It's been awhile since I posted. It's been a busy week, but a good one! And, tomorrow my sisters and I will get together for another birthday party. My sister, Cecilia, had a birthday on July 1st, but with summer schedules and all we are finally getting together tomorrow. I wanted to take a photo of the card and post it before I give it to her. She loves hummingbirds and the stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh was perfect for my sis. Also, I used my hot foil plate to make the frame and sentiment, which is from Spellbinder's. I don't remember the company for the flower images. They could be from PTI.

For my card, I started with a white card base. The frame and sentiment is hot foiled. The hummingbird images were colored with copics. I hope my sis likes the card. It was a very easy card to make.

I'm at the beginning stages of cleaning and purging my craft room. We want to paint and redesign the room. It may take awhile, since our son is helping with new trim and staining it. We may lay new carpet, too. I already moved everything off the desk and took it to the family room. I'm not sure where I'm going to put everything, ha! Anyways, it's a process and I'm sure the results will be great once it's all done.

Dies R Us Challenge August 1, 2022!(Summer)

Hi, Friends!

Today I am sharing a summer card with a beach scene. I think a lot of people are trying to cool off this summer. No beach vacation for me this year. We really enjoyed the crisp cool mornings out west in WY until we got to SD, which was hot! But, taking a dip in a pool does sound refreshing. Below you will see a couple pool photos of my sisters when my sis had a pool birthday party at her house in June.

My card is self-explanatory with coloring the dies with copics and adding gold glitter gel. The hello summer die is from Tutti Designs and the shells on the sand are from Lawn Fawn.
