Hi, Friends!
For the challenge this month the theme is Summer! We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells! Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate at the Dies R Us Challenge!
Today I am sharing a summer card with a beach scene. I think a lot of people are trying to cool off this summer. No beach vacation for me this year. We really enjoyed the crisp cool mornings out west in WY until we got to SD, which was hot! But, taking a dip in a pool does sound refreshing. Below you will see a couple pool photos of my sisters when my sis had a pool birthday party at her house in June.
Christina, the bday gal enjoying her birthday!
My sis, Donna, making sure she got on the flamingo raft, ok!
I can't believe my little sis turned 60!
We had lots of fun celebrating Christina's birthday!
(I posted her card last month with the parrot card)
My card is self-explanatory with coloring the dies with copics and adding gold glitter gel. The hello summer die is from Tutti Designs and the shells on the sand are from Lawn Fawn.

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.
It will ship to both the US and Canada. Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different. Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!
My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today. Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)
That pool party looks like so much fun and a great way to celebrate a birthday. Your card is a relaxing scene and makes me want to take a trip to the beach. I love the way you displayed your card.
ReplyDeleteYour card is delightful Maria, but even more delightful are the fun photo's you shared of your sisters. Each one made me smile more and more. I love the picture of Donna laid out on the flamingo floatie. So cute!! Such fun memories with those you love. Happy belated birthday to your dear sister.
ReplyDeleteLoving your fun beach card, so colorful!! The pool party looks like a fun and refreshing time. Have spent a lot of beach time so far this year and we are headed back for a couple of weeks on Thursday! I have your sister beat lol, I will be 70 this year, YIKES!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun summer card and fantastic pool party! How great it must be to have sisters! Donna looks like she's in her early 40s!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you ladies had so much fun. Your card is beautiful and makes me want to head to the beach. You're right though, having a pool does help staying cool in the very hot days. It's been so hot that even our pool water feels like bath water, it is sitting at 90 deg F (32 deg C). But since it is still cooler than outside, it's still refreshing. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your summer scene! Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteThe pool party looks like a great celebration! Love your card.
ReplyDeleteI could have sworn I commented on this post, but I don't see it, so I'll start over! That pool party looked like a fun time - especially with that gigantic flamingo float! LOL I love your summery fun card and your little sister looks fantastic at 60!
ReplyDeleteReally love the gold glitter gel! This is so sweet! Looks like a relaxing BD party in the pool!
