Hi, there!
I wasn't sure I'd be back this soon, but I needed to get a birthday card made for my husband. I got it done just under the wire since his birthday is tomorrow. I am pleased how I dressed the fine gentleman as seen above on the card! It brings me back to the 70's or even the 60's, lol! I paper pieced his vest and pants and colored his shirt with copics. The image is from MFT. The background stripe stencil is from Pink Fresh and the numbers are from a Tim Holtz stencil. My husband's favorite color is green. I think I managed to get enough green on this card!
For the inside of the card...
I didn't want hubby to feel too bad getting another year older, so I put the old lady inside. For I am no spring chicken myself! I love this stamp set from MFT...what a hoot!
We are going out tonight for his birthday with our son and some friends to our favorite Italian restaurant. Maybe I should tell the waitress or waiter to sing happy birthday to him?!
Thanks so much for dropping by today! Take care and enjoy your weekend!
Hugs!
This is adorable - both inside and out. I LOVE the paper piecing on the little guy. So much fun and I know he's going to love his card. Really like all that green too!

Happy birthday to your hubby! Sounds like it will be a great celebration tonight.
ReplyDeleteYour card is fun and cute. With all that green you should enter it in the numerous current green challenges.
That's quite a fun card you made for your hubby and I'm sure he got a chuckle or two out of it. I hope you had a great birthday dinner celebration too! At 67, he's still a spring chick!
ReplyDeleteA fun card for hubby..I am sure he loved it. Happy Birthday to him!
ReplyDeleteThe gentleman looks quite dapper and would be a hit on the golf course! Happy Birthday to hubby and I hope you had a great time last night.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun birthday card for your hubby Maria! I love your dapper gentleman, you did a great job on him. I also love the inside of your card. None of us are getting any younger or any sharper with the memory aren't we?! I was married to a farmer, so when we had to dress up to go somewhere, I love it because it meant more than jeans and t-shirts/sweatshirts that he wore on the farm. LOL He always cleaned up nice, nicer than me! Hope hubby had a fabulous birthday! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteI love the spiffy outfit you have given to your gentleman, Maria and I bet your husband loved this fun card. Hope you enjoyed the celebration meal out.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Hugs
