Happy Birthday!

Hello!

I hope you are all doing well on this hot and humid Thursday!  We had storms roll through last night.  Happily the more severe weather passed to the north of us with a tornado warning.  It seems this summer there have been several of those.  Our electric flicked off and on for a second and so happy that it stayed on.

Anyways, enough about the weather for I'd like to share with you a card that I made for a friend's birthday.  The sunflower images are from Pretty Pink Posh.  It was easy to put together.  The main work was coloring the sunflowers with copic markers.  We hope to get to the sunflower field near us soon.  We visited last year for the first time and really enjoyed the beauty!

Not much else is going on here.  We did manage to paint our bedroom last weekend and do a good cleaning.  We've been wanting to that and am happy that it's done.  Next job is to finish this office/craft area.  Our son is coming up this weekend to finish the closet with my husband.  Always projects to do around the house.  We're looking forward to taking a break soon to get away for vacation...can't wait!

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by!  I always appreciate your support!  Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs!

  4. This is awesome, Maria. The beautiful sunflowers on that bright, gingham background are just gorgeous. The card makes me so happy. I can imagine that's how you feel when you visit the sunflower field. We've had storms all morning that just ended and more coming through the night. You have been busy with the house and can't wait to see your craft room when you're finished. Vacation sounds fun and hope it comes soon for you.

As for weather, our Summer has gone, and it seems Autumn has come, too early, lashing rain and cold winds with the heating on last Saturday, and we are in mid Summer!

  6. I love your sunflower card Maria! It's so bright and cheerful! You have colored the sunflowers so beautifully as well. I'm sure your friend loved this card. There was a field nearby me that used to plant the whole thing in sunflowers, but they don't do that anymore and I sure miss seeing it! Love the photo of you and hubby at the sunflower field. Been very hot and humid! Lots of storms yesterday early afternoon into evening as well. Thankfully no damage to my yard, only some leaves in the pool and twigs on the pool deck. Home projects never stop do they? Glad y'all are getting some done! Enjoy your vacation!!!! Hugs, Brenda
