Happy Summer!

Hi there!  Hope all is well and that you are
having a great summer!  Just wanted to share
 the progress
of the flowers around my yard...

Flowers planted on 5-25-14(above)

Flowers on 8-1-14

My geraniums and hostas are so pretty!

Every year I plant at least four dozen geraniums  around the house.
These plants are so hearty and easy to take care of since I don't
have my own gardener!:-)

My roses aren't doing as well this year.  But, I do know that
they take a lot of tender care.
My Mom and sister, Donna, inherited the gardening gene in
the family!;-)

Thank you for dropping by and viewing what's going on around
in my yard!  Take care and enjoy your summer!

Paper Sweeties August Inspiration Challenge #22-'Let's Celebrate'

Hi there!

How are you?  I hope all is well in your crafting world!  This is my second post for the day.  Please scroll down to see my card for Dies R Us.

Today is the start for another sweet challenge and we are celebrating a second birthday...yeah!  Please visit  Paper Sweeties for list of fun festivities and prizes!!!

If you came from Lisa Elton's blog, you are in the right place.  And, your next stop will be Michelle Bala's blog.    I was inspired by all the balloons and banner in the inspiration photo.  Isn't that a sweet birthday scene?  So, I got to work and brought out some fun Doolebug paper with lots of balloons!  We hope you will join us this month for the challenge!

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with some Doodlebug paper.  The Paper Sweetie stamp sets I used are Celebrate(cake and banner) and You Make Me Smile(sentiment).  The cake was colored with copics.  I added glitter to the banner, cake, and buttons.  The border punch is from Martha Stewart.  To finish off the card I added a Tim Holtz button and lovely seam binding ribbon from Paper Sweeties-Raspberry, Cotton Candy.  You will want to hop along and view more wonderful creations from the team.  Please follow the list below...have fun!

Dies R Us August Challenge (Team A) "Birthday"

Hi Friends!

It's time once again for Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme this month for Team A is "Birthday"!  Get out those gorgeous dies and have fun making a birthday card!  You have until June 13th to enter.  The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the Dies R Us store!  So, come on over and join in on the fun!

For my card, I started with a cream card base from Kraft Outlet.  It was then paired with pretty Crate Paper.  The birthday die was backed with dark pink paper.  Liquid pearls and roses were added to the birthday cake.  I stamped rose buds in the corners of the die panel.  The happy birthday die was placed.  Don't you love the cake and happy birthday dies?  There are so many different color choices you can make using these dies for that special birthday card!  Ribbon, button, twine, and pearls to finish the card.

The dies listed above can be purchased at the Dies R Us Store.
And, here is the list of dies that I used today...

You're a Hoot!

Hi there!

I'm just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for the challenge over at City Crafter!  The theme this week is animals.  The above photo with the mouse hanging onto the flower just makes me smile, so I thought I'd play along!:-)

My crafty friend, Nancy, and I love to send each other cards with owls.  We just love the furry little animals...so cute!:-)

The owl stamp set is from Hero Arts.  The card is self-explanatory and all supplies are listed below.  Well, that's all for now.  I'm working on some other projects, which will be posted soon.  Thank you for dropping by!  Take care and have a wonderful day!

*Please don't forget to comment on my four-year blog anniversary post for a chance to win some goodies.  The winner will be announced on 8-10-14!*

Hugs,
Maria
