Ok, friends, get out those lovely dies and make a project with the theme...hearts.   You have until February 13th to enter.  The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the Dies R Us store!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge!

For my card, I started with a red card base and used several wonderful dies! I added pearls, metal dots, and ribbon for the final touch.  Here is a list of the dies, which can be purchased from the Dies R Us Store....

MIM #199: Confetti Garland

Hi there!

How are you on this fine Thursday morning?  I'd like to share with you a card I made for the challenge over at Papertrey Ink.  The theme is to make a confetti garland.  I got out my sparkle and shine kit and went to work.  Great patience was needed for the garland...whew!  Stringing all those tiny sequins was fun, but tedious.  And, would I do it again...yes!:-)  I just love the dimension and "fun" look of the garland, which matches perfectly with the sequin paper!

Everything on the card is from PTI except for the silver thread.  For the love die, I stacked two pink and one blue for added dimension.  Three little sequins were added to the heart.  And, there you have it, my confetti garland card!

Thanks so much for taking a peek at my card today!  Have a great day and take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Your Kindness Warms My Heart!

Hi Friends!

Just popping in to share with you a card I made for the challenge over at City Crafter.  For the challenge, we are to create a project incorporating a drink of any kind...hot or cold.  I decided to use a coffee cup with heart.  I'm meeting my sis for lunch next week at our favorite coffee shop, and I plan to give her this card.

For my card, I started with a tan card base and paired it with patterned papers from Carta Bella.  I embossed the coffee cup image and paper pieced the heart.  I popped it up for added dimension.  Doily and trim were placed.  Ribbon, twine, and button to finish off the card.  I decided to place the sentiment inside the card.  Here is a peek at the sentiment...

Well, that's all for now.  I hope you are having a great week so far!  Thanks so much for taking a peek at my card!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Kiss Me...

Hi there!

Just popping in to share with you another Valentine card I made for my husband.  I bought a new Darice embossing folder with all the fun hearts!  Many times I would make Valentine sugar cookies and place those candy hearts in the center.  Isn't it fun reading all those candy hearts?

For my card, I started with a white card base and added a border with Doodlebug paper.   I got out my neglected chalk and applied it over all the hearts.  I cut out one heart and colored it with copics and popped it up for dimension, which reads...kiss me.

Well, that's all for now.  I hope you are staying warm wherever you are.  We are due for snow today.  But, not too much... 2-4 inches.  Staying inside today making cards sounds like a good time to me!  Take care and thanks so much for dropping by!

Hugs,
Maria
