Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

It's nearly time to ring in the new year!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and great times with family and friends!  A new year brings thoughts about the previous  one and thoughts of how the new one will be.  I have to say that I had a good year. I know some new things are down the pike for me with church activities, so I can only hope and pray for the best!  And, of course, card designing with the two design teams I design for gives me great pleasure!  Stay tuned for something new with Paper Sweeties will be revealed very soon!  I'm entering this card over at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.

I made the above card for my son because he griped about not getting a handmade Christmas card sent to him.  Oh, how could I do such a thing!  Yes, I admit, I bought a store bought card for him...sigh...hehehe!  So, I'd like to surprise him with this New Year's card.

The papers are from PTI, DCWV, and MFT.  The envelope is from Heidi Swapp.  And, the banner and numbers are from the Paper Sweeties stamp set Days Until

Inside the envelope is a tag...

I used the stamp set Happy Everything.  And, I used gold Wink of Stella around the happy sentiment, banner, and numbers.  Dots from Doodlebug and twine Licorice from Paper Sweeties to finish off the card.

Well, that's it for now.  If you have big plans for New Year's Eve, have fun and stay safe!  We might go out for dinner and a movie.  May the New Year bring you lots of joys and many blessings!  Thanks so much for dropping by...take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Get Well Soon!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!  We certainly did!  So much yummy food and fun times with family!  I made the above card for a family member who is to have surgery tomorrow.  I'm wishing for her a very speedy recovery!  I'll take this card to her tomorrow along with a book and some magazines.  I even thought of buying one of those adult coloring books for her, but due to her surgery it might be difficult.

Anyways, the card was easy peasy with the K&Company poinsettia stickers.  The paper is from Echo Park and the sentiment is from PTI.  Well, not much else going on here right now.  I'm not looking forward to putting away all the Christmas decorations.  It looks so lovely and peaceful at night.  It makes me want to keep them up all year...ha!  I thought I'd share a few Christmas photos of family...

Snow Time!

Hi, there!

I hope you are all doing well this Christmas week!  I had some free time last night and felt crafty, so I came up with this last project before Christmas.  I ordered some Sweet Chips Snow Globe from Paper Sweeties!  What a wonderful snowy fun project it turned out to be...love it!  It is a snow globe within a globe...ha!  And, speaking of snow.  Hmmm...I'm beginning to wish we had some.  And, I rarely say the word...snow!  But, it doesn't seem like Christmas when the temps here are in the 50's and 60's.

Anyways, the stamp set that I used was Snow Time and with coordinating die Sweet Cuts-Snow Time.  The snow was made using Sweet Cuts-Thanks Snow Much.  The twine(Strawberry),  straw(Strawberry). sequins(Marshmallow) and (Snowflakes) are from Paper Sweeties, also.

Debbie has awesome tips on the back of the sweet chips.  And, they are already cut out for easy assembly...and so fun!  I plan to make a snowman, too!

Well, that's all for now!  Take care and Merry Christmas!

Hugs,
Maria

Merry Christmas!

Hi, Friends!

It's down to the wire here for Christmas week!  How's the preparations going for you?   I have two books I'm waiting for my husband from the UPS guy...please hurry!  I did buy two other things if they don't arrive on time.  But, in the meantime, my oven has been working over time!  And, I think I'm finally done with the baking.  The above treats I made for my husband to take into his work.  I save a few goodies for us to eat.  My son loves the sugar cookies and gingerbreads.

Anyways, I do want to share a couple of cards I made with some Lawn Fawn cuties that I made a couple weeks go that I sent out to my sis-in-law and niece.  And, here they are...

Well, that's all for now.  Have a wonderful Merry Christmas and
a joyous New Year!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria
