Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge September 2016!

Hi, Friends!

It's time once again for the Paper Sweeties Monthly Challenge!   And, I'm excited to announce that a $20 gift certificate goes to the winner of this month's challenge!  Such a lovely inspiration photo with all the bright colors and pretty flowers in the mason jar!  I've seen lots of families for the past couple of weeks shopping for school supplies!  If you have children in school, I hope they have a great school year!  And, I hope you're inspired by the beautiful photo to join the challenge!

This is my second post for today, so please scroll down to see my card made for Dies R Us Challenge!

And, here is my school themed card...

For my card, I started with a black base and paired it with Studio112, and BoBunny paper.  I used the Planner Series-Checklist stamp set, which is the notebook page and girl with chalkboard.  The little girl is ready for school!  The panel is from Doodlebug.  I added flowers and twine to finish the card.

Please hop along and view more inspiration from my teammates...

Dies R Us September Inspiration Challenge-Team A-Summer!

Hi, there!

Happy September 1st!  And, it's time for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is Summer!  It's been one hot humid summer, but it was fun doing a lot of summer things with friends and family.  Soon the leaves will be falling and cooler temps will be on the way!

For my card, I started with a black card base and paired it with Photoplay paper.  The background behind the sun was distressed with distress inks of Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Rusty Hinge, and Barn Door.  The Ray of Sunshine die and Beach Border die from Taylored Expressions were die cut from foam for dimension.  The stitched circle die is from Lawn Fawn as is the stitched scalloped borders. The sentiment is from Paper Sweeties.  Dots were added to finish the card.  All dies used are listed below...

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  And, new items are added all the time!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Would you like more inspiration?  Check out some amazing creations from my talented teammates!

Happy Halloween!

Hi, Friends!

Just popping in quick to share with you a card I made using some new PTI (Kay Miller)goodies!  Aren't those images so cute?!  I could hardly wait to play with them!  I finally had some time this afternoon to ink them up!  I thank you all for the get well wishes for my son.  I appreciate it!  He is healing well.  He had toe tendon surgery on his right foot last Tuesday.  We stayed most of the week with him last week.  I sure wish he lived closer.  He is 2 1/2 hr. away.  But, it's not like he's clear across the country!:-)

Anyways, I started my card by making the sky using Tim Holtz distress inks, which were stormy sky and dusty concord.  All the stamps are from PTI.  The fence die is from MFT.  The dots are from Doodlebug.  I'm playing along with Darnell's NBUS Challenge!

Well, we are staining the deck this week, so I better stop playing around and get out to helping my hubby!  But, it was great to play and create today!  Thanks so much for dropping by!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Summer...

Hi, Friends!

Happy Sunday to you!  I hope all is well in your world today.  Just popping in quick to share with you a card I made recently.  I won't be crafting or posting for the next several days due to helping my son after his surgery.  He'll be hobbling around for awhile.  I wish I could take the pain for him, but he'll get better soon.  Anyways, by Tuesday afternoon I'll be saying is it 5 o'clock yet...lol!  Nawww...really I'll probably be drinking coffee...strong coffee!:-)

For my card, I started with a pink card base and paired it with K&Company paper.  I water colored the background and little  Sophie.  Her outfit and sand dollars are from the stamp set At the Beach.  The palm tree is from Island Time. The dies that were used are Sweet Cuts-SophieSweet Cuts-Island Time, Sweet Cuts-Let's go to the Beach(waves), and Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders  And, the drink and sentiment is from the set Planner Series: Summer Sentiments.  Sequins(Gold) and twine(cookie dough) to finish the card.

Well, that's all for now.  Take care and thanks so much for dropping by!  Have a great week!

Hugs,
Maria
