Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

I'm just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for my niece, Ashlee.  She loves mermaids, so a mermaid birthday will be on the way to her soon.  I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with two blue panels.  The white panel was embossed with a Darice folder.  The mermaid image is from Stampabilities, which was inked with distress broken china ink and SU Island Indigo.  The leaf images are from Sweet 'n Sassy and were inked and spritzed with water.  I used broken china distress ink and brushed the ink on for the background.  The waves were made using a punch.  Stickles added to the mermaid tail for glitter and shine.  The sentiment is from PTI.  Pearls and ribbon added to finish the birthday card.

It's a busy week here for me, but I managed to do a card this evening.  I have one more birthday card this month to do for a great nephew.

Well, that's all for now.  I thank you very much for dropping by today!  Take care and have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-October 2018!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-October!

Hi, Friends!

Happy October 1st!  The air has already turned with less humidity and leaves are just starting to change.  Peak color will be a little late this year due to the warm summer months.  I welcome the lower humidity and cooler temps this time of year!

As you can see above, Madison is gathering apples from the apple orchard.  I always look forward to this time of year for local fresh apples.  Also, I look forward to the Apple Festival with my favorite treat of the apple dumpling...yum!  Madison's outfit is from the new stamp set Happy Fall Y'all.  All the other stamp sets/dies are previously released items.

I have two posts today, so please scroll down to see my DRU card, too!

And, now a closer peek at my planner pages...

Dies R Us Challenge-October 1, 2018!(Anything Goes using dies carried at the DRU store)

Hi, Friends!

I'm here to share with you my card for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is (Anything Goes using dies carried at the DRU store).  Come join in on the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate!  Enjoy creating!

I decided to go with a Halloween theme, which is just around the corner.  We're out in the country here, so we don't get any kiddos dropping by for treats.  We used to get about sixteen and it was fun seeing them in their costumes and making up treat bags!

Today, a sweet friendly little witch with her black cat are going trick-or- treating.  The stamp set that I used is from MFT.  I colored all the images with copics.  The sky was made using seedless preserves distress ink.  I know it's difficult to see, but I added Wink of Stella for shimmer and shine.  Sparkly trim,  a dot, and gems to finish my Halloween card.

And, here is my card...

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  Hope you check out the store for  amazing selection of dies, stamps, papers, inks, etc.!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Would you like more inspiration?  Check out some amazing creations from my talented teammates!

Autumn Blessings!

Happy Fall!

Cooler temps have arrived here in NW Ohio, which is a welcomed change.  We have had a hot humid summer.  I haven't been in my craft room for about a week due to taking care of my son.  A deer ran out in front of him on 9-15.  He was on his motorcycle and wears a helmet and protective gear.  He is very lucky that he didn't have any serious injuries.  The X-rays for his hip, knee, and elbow showed no fractures.  I took him to two doctor appointments and the ortho doctor felt he had internal bruising on his hip and upper thigh area.  He's hobbling around on crutches and is improving.  Ok, onto a lighter note...

It was good to get back to some creating.  It certainly helps me relax and get my mind off of things.  I already had these PTI images inked up.  I used an MFT stencil for the background and added sparkly dots for my fall card.  I'm entering this card over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.  And, here is my card...

Autumn Blessings to you all!  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Maria
