Hi, friends!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties August Release Sneak Peeks!  This month Paper Sweeties is celebrating their 6th Anniversary!  So stay tuned for some specials and the awesome birthday celebration goodies!

Debbie is releasing a new stamp/die set called Congrats!  So many sentiments are included in this awesome set.  My niece, Chelsea, recently passed the state boards for her nursing license.  And, she has a new job in the neuroscience department at a hospital.  I'm very proud of her!

Here is the card that I made for her...

I started with a white card base and paired it with Doodlebug paper.  I stamped the stethoscope and hearts.  The stethoscope is from the set Sorry You're Sick.  The hearts are from the set Stand Add on:Fresh Baked.  Madison colored with copics is in her nurse uniform ready to start her work day!  Her uniform top is from the set Feel Better Soon  and her pants are from the set I Pick You.  Nuvo drops(Strawberry) were added for the buttons on the uniform.  (Bubblegum) sequins for added interest.  The new congrats die was die cut three times and colored with copics.  The die and sentiment is from the new set Congrats, which will be available tomorrow to purchase.

And, here is another view of my card...

I'm glad I'm passing the nurse hat or shall I say stethoscope over to my niece for I'm a retired nurse.  I never wore a nurse's cap except for my school photo.  I have lots of fond memories of being a nurse and lifelong nurse friends. Now it's time for a new kid on the block....Chelsea!  She will make an excellent nurse for she is strong, kind, and very caring!

As I mentioned above, I wore a nurse cap for my school photo.  The nursing chair wanted us all to wear a cap with our nurse photo, but some rebelled against wearing one.  Many felt no need to since no one wears caps on the job anymore.  So, about half wore them for their photo.  I wore one because I thought it would make me look more like a nurse for the photo.  Here is a peek of my school nursing photo...

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Take care!

Hugs,
Maria
