Merry Christmas!

Popping in two share a couple more cards that I made for the holiday season.  I got out my metallic paints from Altenew for the above card.  The sentiment is from Altenew, also.  The scallop frame is from Lawn Fawn.  I wanted more shine, so I used Perfect Pearls Mists in Turqoise.  A few random spots with gold glitter gel and heart gems to finish the card.  I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday

Next up, is my Sheila card that I made for the gals at the kennel.   We went on two vacations this year and I know she was in very good hands while we were away.  I wanted to make a special card and I gave them a tin of treats to show our appreciation.

Funny story...my first photo of Sheila was not a good one.  As soon as the first photo was done, she jumped over to the chair.  She was glued to the chair and didn't want to move!  Well, I picked her up and had her sit on the foot stool in front of the tree.  I did manage to take a good photo.  After she was done, she made it known to me that she wasn't happy...woof woof went the little one...and woke my husband up.  Ut oh...we are in trouble now, lol!  But, the job was done and I delivered the card and goodies with success!:-)

Ok, well that's all for now!  I'm wishing for you all a blessed Merry Christmas and a new year filled with lots of joy!  Take care!  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today, hugs!!

  1. Just adorable, Maria! I know they appreciated your thoughtfulness. So funny Sheila let you know she isn't fond of modeling! The shimmery turquoise & gold made a gorgeous card! Merry Christmas!

  2. That Turquoise mist on the blue is gorgeous. The blue poinsettia is lovely and blue is my favorite color so I naturally love this card. Pretty little gold hearts too. Sheila looks so cute and she really posed well even if she doesn't want to be a model but it looks like she left her bow on. I know the kennel group loved this.

  3. I love your modern and gorgeous Christmas card, Maria! But Sheila steals the show! Loved your story and glad you were able to snap this great photo to make your thoughtful card! I'm hoping for a break from the rain and some sunshine today to get a Christmas photo of Nellie with that ribbon Greta gave us. Wish me luck! Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Hugs, Darnell
