Happy Birthday!

I hope you all are doing well and staying safe during these challenging times.  I thought I'd pop back in again due to the fun birthday challenge over at Seize the Birthday  I made a birthday card for my great nephew who has a birthday next month.  I think he'll get a kick out of the playful giraffe on the pogo stick!

For my card, I started with a white card base and made a star stencil background using distress inks.  The stencil is from TCW(Balzer Designs).  The giraffe is from MFT colored with copics.  The stars are from Sweet 'n Sassy.

The weather is still up and down here in NW Ohio.  Yesterday, I went out to walk the dog and didn't have to wear a coat.  Today it's back to being chilly and windy.  Sheila is loving her walks and extra attention!  The highlight of my day was seeing a cardinal.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed to see another one today!  I think next week the temps will be more stable in the 50's...yeah!  Ok, that's all for now.  Take care, my friends!!

  3. This is sooooo cute, Maria! Such a fun design for a boy birthday card. That giraffe makes me smile, and I adore how those big stars just pop. The stenciled background looks amazing, too.
Glad you're doing well. Sounds like you're having just the same weather as us. Crazy up and downs and temperature fluctuations. Stay safe!

  4. Maria, this is so cute, your nephew will love it, that image is fantastic, a giraffe on a pogo stick, LOVE IT! We are well here in Oregon, and I think our weather is the same, a few days ago it was in the 60's, now it is cloudy windy and rainy! I think it is good that it is not nice, people are more apt to stay inside during bad days versus sunny nice days, they want to go to the beach and hang out in groups...not good right now! Stay safe...and now we don't have to feel guilty making cards, what else is there to do? Right? Heart Hugs, Colleen

  5. How wonderful to see a cardinal! That's the one bird I really wished we had. So glad I saw one before leaving Indy last year. My favorite at our feeder is a Red-Naped Sapsucker--so pretty! Absolutely love your darling card, Maria--perfect for a kiddo! Great design with the stenciled & die cut stars & cute giraffe! Sending hugs, Greta
