Hi, Crafty Friends!
Have you started any Valentine cards yet? I'd like to share with you one that I made for my son today!
I'm entering this card over at Simon Says.
For my card, I started with a white card base and used a MFT stitched circle die to cut a circle. I used a larger stitched circle for the background to make the sky. The cloud stencil and heart paper is from MFT, also. The gnome is from Simon Says. I die cut flowers from the Lawn Fawn set Party Animal. The stems and leaves are from a Paper Sweeties set Pretty Posies. The sentiment was computer generated. I just love the darling gnome! He can be used for any occasion!
I used a scalloped frame die for the red panel inside the card. The hearts were die cut using Lawn Fawn Party Animal. The sentiment was computer generated, also.
Please do take good care and stay safe. It continues to be quite rough out there with the Covid virus. In fact, yesterday was a sad day losing a friend of mine from church. The virus went through her children and grandchildren. And, my friend had medical conditions that made it worse for her. My heart is truly sad.
My crafting gives me a great distraction from so many things that we can't control. It truly is a blessing to make cards and send them to others. I recently made four for people from my church affected with the virus. And, with Valentine's Day that will soon be here, I need to get going on making many cards to send out. I love making Valentine cards! Ok, that's all for now. Again, please do take good care!
Updated...
Here is one of the cards I made and talked about yesterday. I forgot to post it. I made four cards in colors of pink/purple, yellow, orange, and red. The red one is my favorite.
Hugs!
Maria
THis is such a cute valentine and I love the trendy gnome! I like how you created the inside too, and I agree - crafting (along with jigsaw puzzles and good books) are a great distraction from the world outside! Take care!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your loss. Sending hugs and prayers.
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine’s card is adorable. Your son will love it.
I love gnomes and he is adorable. I especially love the Valentine flowers. I started mine yesterday but I don't send many. I don't have a lot of Valentine products so mine all tend to look the same year after year. Maybe it's time to order new goodies!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVE your card, so much love in it. Great sentiment. Sorry to hear your loss, so many have succumbed to this dreadful virus. Hubby gets his vaccination on Sunday at least one of us will be safer.
ReplyDeleteYou and your family keep safe

I am saddened to hear about your friend and sending love and hugs x.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable card for your son Maria x.
The rose card is gorgeous, Maria! Super sweet card for your son--love it! So sorry you've lost a friend to Covid. So sad people listened to politicians instead of experts & still so many people fight masks & continue to have get togethers. Never thought the US would loose 400,000 people when we claim to value life. Hoping we might finally get vaccinated next month, but no guarantee. Stay safe, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry for your loss and your caring cards are just beautiful!I'm sure your son will love his too... so full of love. Sending hugs your way
ReplyDeleteThat sweet gnome Valentine is just so adorable, Maria! There's just something about a gnome that makes me smile every time, as I know your son will when he opens his card.
ReplyDeleteLove that you are making and sending Valentines cards to your friends and family. The caring thoughts card is beautiful, and I know these will lighten the hearts of all who receive. I'm so so sorry to hear about the loss of your church friend to Covid. It's awfully scary out there. Hope we can all get our vaccines soon. <3
