Happy St. Pat's Day!

Hi, there!

There's a fun green challenge going on over at Choux Choux Paper Art by my friend, Lori!  I feel like I'm getting behind on my St. Pat's cards, but I managed to create this card today.  Easter is just a few weeks away, too...wow...time flies!.  Anyways, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with Authentique paper.  I punched out hearts for the shamrock.  The buttons and shamrocks are from Jo-Ann Fabric.  The pearls are from Darice.  The seam binding ribbon is from Paper Sweeties.

I just thought it was such a cute image for it shows five girls.  In my family there are five girls...Donna, Lucretia, Maria(me), Cecilia, and Christina.  I wish I had five of these images so that I can send all of my sisters this card, but I guess I have to send it to my favorite sis...hehehe...just joking!

I had fun making this card!  I hope you're having some crafty fun, too!  Thanks so much for dropping by!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge-March 2016!

 Hi, Friends!

It's time once again for the Paper Sweeties Monthly Challenge!  I just love a good cup of coffee in the morning.  But, sharing a good cup of coffee with your sweetie or a friend is even better!  We have an awesome coffee shop here in town with specialty coffees...yumm!  And, it's so fun to go there with my husband or friends!

A $20 gift certificate goes to one lucky winner of the challenge!  This is my second post for today, so please scroll down to see my card made for Dies R Us Challenge!

 And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a light blue card base and added brown and black.  The sentiment was embossed from the stamp set Wishing You.  The cup is from the set Sweet Cuts-Homemade With Love.  The heart on the cup was die cut using Sweet Cuts-Snow Friends.  The hearts stamped on the hearts are from Have a Holly Jolly Holiday and Stand Add-on: Fresh Baked.  The twine(Strawberry) and (Blueberry) are also from Paper Sweeties.  Please hop along with the list below to see what my teammates created...

Ok, friends, you have until  March 13th to enter.  And, remember there will be a $10 winner for the challenge!  There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  And, new items are added all the time!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Egg-stra Sweet Easter Wishes!

Hi, Friends!

I just wanted to share with you an Easter project that I made recently.  One wouldn't think it was Easter looking out my window.  We finally got some snow.  It will probably only be a couple of inches.  I think the average is about 29" and we've only gotten about 12" total this year.  But, that's ok with me!:-)

Anyways, I know it's a little early for Easter, but we crafters work ahead on things.  And, I thought the colors fit for the challenge going on right now at Paper Sweeties!  You have until the end of the month to enter!  The winner will receive a $20 gift certificate and be invited to be guest designer!  Come on over and join the fun!

I started with an oval shaped block of wood from Michael's and painted it pink.  It was then covered with polka dot paper.  Sophie was colored with copics and I added some whiskers.  Her outfit, carrot, and basket is from the set Bunny Hugs and Kisses and the sentiment is from the set Jelly Bean Time.  The die cuts used are Sweet Cuts-Home Tweet Home(fence) and Sweet Cuts-Be Happy(banner).  The seam binding ribbon (Frosting) is from Paper Sweeties, also.

Thanks so much for dropping by and taking a peek at my Easter project!  Take care and have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Maria
