Boo!!!

Hi there!

How are you doing today?  It's a lovely fall day here,
so this afternoon I took a walk at my favorite walking
place at Spiegel Grove.  The squirrels were busy with
gathering nuts.  As I was walking, I had to dodge the
falling nuts from the trees!:-)  I kept thinking please
don't hit me in the head!:-)  Anyways, I had a great
walk and enjoyed the beautiful fall day.

Ok, onto my card.  I had fun making this Halloween
card.  The digital image is from Digital Paper(Etsy).
Isn't the witch sweet?  I don't think she could scare
anyone!  The orange felt is from MFT.  I backstitched
with floss to make a frame.  I found some crochet trim
and buttons in my stash.  The ribbon is from Paper
Sweeties.  Gems and stitching were adding to finish
off the card.

Here is the beautiful inspiration photo...

I'm entering this card over at City Crafter Challenge.
Thanks so much for taking time to view my card
today!  Take care, hugs!

  3. awww, love it, Maria! Such a sweet vintage inspired Halloween card! Love that witch image and love your hand-stitched felt frame. And all the detailing is fabulous. LOVE!
The other day, I was waiting in my car, and an acorn fell and hit my roof with the loudest thud you've ever heard. Scared the bejeepers out of me, and all I could think of was thank goodness that wasn't my head! ;0

  4. I really like your sweet witch card and the backstitching for the frame was a great idea.

I think there is a bumper crop of acorns this year. The driveway in back of our house is covered with those small acorns. We run over them with the cars and it is such a mess. Must be more than the squirrels can gather this year.

    Have a fabulous weekend.
